Re: US Marines take down terrorist with an AK-47 in France barehanded
You do realize that using an AK is not barehanded, right?
As per dailymail article:

CNN confirming he was indeed an Islamist militant, with known sympathies to ISIS but it's still unclear what group, if any, sent him on this "mission".

Here are the heroes:

From left to right: Anthony Sadler, Alek Skarlatos, Spencer Stone
Video footage of the aftermath:

So todays reports(yesterday there was a lot of confusion and misinformation from the media) seem to basically say Stone charged the guy and wrestled him to the ground, getting injured in the process. Skarlatos immediately grabbed the guys weapon and took up guard against additional terrorists and Sadler jumped on top of the terrorist and literally beat him unconscious. :oldlol:
Like a well oiled machine.
Sadler's account
"We heard a gunshot, and we heard glass breaking behind us, and saw a train employee sprint past us down the aisle,” Sadler told the AP.
Then they spotted a gunman entering the train car with an automatic rifle.
“As he was cocking it to shoot it, Alek just yells, ‘Spencer, go!’ And Spencer runs down the aisle,” Sadler said.
“Spencer makes first contact, he tackles the guy, Alek wrestles the gun away from him, and the gunman pulls out a box cutter and slices Spencer a few times. And the three of us beat him until he was unconscious. The gunman never said a word.”

In my country, Europe, we thank god every day that the Americans are there to protect us
Re: US Marines take down terrorist with an AK-47 in France barehanded
The Americans and a Brit were awarded the Legion d'Honneur, France's highest honor for bravery today.

Sounded kinda odd at first... But I knew something was up.
If it were Marines on that train, they'd have killed him.

Yep. Spencer was Air Force. Skarlatos was with the Oregon National Guard returning from Afghanistan. And Sadler was a college student.

What did Obama do for these heroes? They got the highest award from France, I think Obama just had a couple words and that was it. Damn.
