F*CK Spain
God damn. Who wants to watch another throttling of Spain at the Gold Medal game?
USA-Russia would've made a much better game. Two former rival nations with history going at it in 2012 would've been much more entertaining than watching a country continuing to fail against America...

I hope Spain win. I hope they beat the US so badly. I'm sick of hearing this kind of cocky attitude. The US team and its supporters have no right to talk like this after the poor showings they have had in past years. It was only 10 years ago that the US team finished 6th in the FIBA World Championship. New Zealand with a population of 4.5 million was placed 4th.

Or how about the failure at the 2004 Olympics?
What about the failure at the 2006 FIBA World Championship?
Get out of here with that cocky attitude.

Re: F*CK Spain
Hmmm, what did Spain bring the world?
Well, they indiscriminately slaughtered, raped, looted, and worked to death every indigenous group they came across during their colonialist/imperialist era. Was so bad in the Americas that natives opted to commit suicide rather than work themselves to death for their captors.
And there's this little gem from Spain's soccer coach in 2005:

Not to mention Spain's 2008 men's and women's basketball teams both thought nothing of posing while doing the slant-eye. They're so culturally backwards that shit like that doesn't occur to them as being racist. Would love to see what happens the next time the Olympics is hosted somewhere in Africa. its very funny when people from other countries say things like this, because by calling the spaniards racist, you are basically being the racist. Also, about the suposed genocides, its amusing because south american natives have survived much better to this day than their north american counterparts.
Also, about the "slant-eye" gesture, it doesnt occur to us that's a racist thing because it's not. It's like saying we think sexuality is something you have to be ashamed of if we talked openly about it. The fact that many nations are still hampered by this kind of taboos is the best example of how ahead of other countries we are in this matter.
About Luis Aragones, he's no racist. But in the first place, if he was it wuld be because thanks to the ever so helpful americans and europeans he received the fascist education we had to endure in spain for 40 years until ****ing Francisco Franco died peacefully in his bed because no one came to help spaniards and free us from this regime. No, americans would rather negotiate placing their air bases and shit in our country, and take advantage of the situation. Anyway, Aragones is no racist, has plenty of black friends, oriental or whatever race, he talks like that. If Thierry Henry was red haired or blonde he would have said "that blonde piece of shit". and he didnt say black piece of shit, thats the translation the sensationalist british press made, he said something more along the lines of "that nig.ga".

Re: F*CK Spain
Indigenous peoples....
The primary reason they died off was because of diseases brought from the old world which were foreign to these indigenous peoples and thus spread like wildfire through the populations.
THe encomienda systems you speak of were no more brutal than the Atlantic Slave trade set up by the British or the slave systems in American colonies, which persisted well into America's independence. Yes , your American freedom fighters were as if not more brutal than the Spaniards not bound by the Victorian moral codes of the time period.
Could be argued that the first ever antislvaery worker was Spanish (Bartolomoe de las Casas).
As For Aragones , the best and most important player on that team was of African descent, it's a figure of speech and it's translation is completely misconstrued.
Finally , you're an idiot who needs to look through the history of his own country before criticizing that of others.

Yes, because everyone is as cocky as him... stop being a fool. As for their poor showing in the last few years, you mean like their gold medal in 2008? That poor showing? The United States has the most talented crop of basketball talent in the world and their supporters expect them to win, nothing wrong with that. Their cocky supporters are few and far between, most are respectful and excited about the prospect of another gold.

funny, no mention of the US manifest destiny or the atrocities committed against native americans?
Whats the % of people with native blood in former spanish colonies, like mexico, as opposed to the US?
US has no room to point fingers in this situation.
funny, no mention of the US manifest destiny or the atrocities committed against native americans?
What's funny is your lack of anything that resembles a point. Americans aren't as outwardly racist as Spanish still are. Non-Spanish European imperialists weren't nearly as brutal in their treatment of natives as the conquistadors were.
Whats the % of people with native blood in former spanish colonies, like mexico, as opposed to the US?
And yet another display of your ignorance. The fact that Mexicans are for the most part a mixture of native and Spanish blood has nothing to do with Spain sucking. Mexicans in fact generally dislike Spanish because Spanish are racist towards them. Something about being a "degenerate" mix. They (Spanish) call Mexicans "Indians" as a slur.
US has no room to point fingers in this situation.
Hardly. We don't have any dumbfvcks on our basketball team that think slant-eye gesturing is cute.
My people were raped and conquered by the Spanish.
This whole "spain raped and conquered my people" thing is stupid. First of all, the romans raped and conquered my people and I'm very thankful for that, they brought us civilization and knowledge.
Also, I can't be held responsible for what a guy with whom I share no ADN and did 500 years ago in a country thousands of kilometes away from me. Those guys for the most part didn't come back, ever, they stayed there and eventually claimed independence from Spain. So it's your own people who raped your other people. The ones who stayed here, my actual relatives, didnt hurt or conquer any american native. And anyway, I feel the need to ask: would south american people rather be still in the jungle killing and sacrificing themselves as a means of pleasing the gods? Or would you rather be able to read and write nosense on internet forums?
Last, I'm tired of other countries brining this stuff up as if Spain was the only country to make mistakes and atrocities, ever. Which country with any resonance in world matters in any time in history, has made no mistakes? Which country is free from any shadow? It's too old, too stupid, too uninformed of an argument to even be discussing this matter, honestly. But a very loud part of south american population actually believe this nosense and this must be stopped for their own good.
Just think about the first thing I said. It was YOUR people who massacred your other, blood bath loving, people, not mine. My relatives stayed in Spain the whole time.

It's a bit sad that you're a basketball fan. You should find respect and admiration for a country with 40 million people living in it, not the most athletic of people at lacking afroamericans in its diversity that is able to compete in the game of basketball with United States.

This forum is about 90% comprised of people that are blacks from the USA that hate all other races that are not black (especially white people), and that hate all people that are not from the USA (especially people that are from Europe).
It's the same in every single American NBA themed site, and the same at every NBA themed discussion, or Team USA men's basketball themed discussion at major US sports media sites.
