Just curious how. Blake Griffin had better stats, better regular season record
Better record credit goes to CP3 since he's the 2nd option, and Blake had better numbers than Dirk last year as well but he wasn't a better player.
Westbrook over Kobe
Dirk or KG over Griffin. seriously dude cannot make FTs, does not have a post game or a jumpshot, I cannot honestly call him a basketball player yet.

Griffin played less minutes and took less shots which is why we saw a drop in points per game. He increased his efficiency and improved his defense a little bit while Dirk declined even more. THIS year Dirk isn't better, PERIOD. Tyson Chandler and their incredible depth was a huge reason for the Mavs success last year and nobody discredited Dirk for that.
So just because Griffin has a superstar with him doesn't mean he literally CAN'T be considered better than Dirk. Mavs had a subpar season led by Dirk, their star.
First Team:
Dwight Howard-Obviously
Lebron James-Obviously
Kevin Durant-Obviously
Kobe Bryant-Yeah, can see Westbrook here, but Kobe works too
Chris Paul-Obviously
Second Team:
Andrew Bynum-Yes
Blake Griffin-Too high
Kevin Love-Yes
Tony Parker-Suppose so
Russell Westbrook-Yep, argument for 1st team tho
Third Team:
Tyson Chandler-:biggums: I like Chandler, but he's not better than Marc Gasol, KG, Duncan, or Al Jefferson.
Dirk Nowitzki-Yeah, would be higher if not for horrible start
Carmelo Anthony-No
Dwyane Wade-Eh. I might have him higher, but injuries lowered him I suppose
Rajon Rondo-Yeah
For those that don't want to read through the article.
Actually not too bad this year. Now the all-defense teams....:coleman:
Why are people sucking on Chandler's balls so hard?
"Griffin was the only player in the NBA in 2011-12 to average over 20.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists. Griffin shot 54.9 percent from the field and finished the season 4th in the league with 41 double-doubles, 6th in rebounds, 7th in field goal percentage and 10th in scoring."

And the Mavs would be in the lottery if they swapped Dirk for Griffin. I just thought Dirk was a better individual player and the Clippers would be a bigger threat if they had him instead.
Blake Griffin should be on third team. Besides that, I agree with just about everything.
Kobe in first again. what a f*cking joke lol
It's a pretty good list.
I don't get the Chandler hate.
Few changes I would make....
Duncan or Garnett should have made it over Chandler at Center for the 3rd team.
Garnett or Pierce should have made it over Melo at Forward for the 3rd team.
Westbrook or Parker should have made it over Kobe at Guard for the 1st team.
Bynum should have made it over Howard at Center for the 1st team.
Garnett could be listed as either Forward or Center this season since he played both.
The rest is about right I suppose.
Bolded are not centers. They do not get to reap the rewards of being listed as the greatest power forwards of all time, then conveniently shove them back to center when the forward position becomes log jammed.

Garnett is listed as a center-forward on nba.com, has spent minutes at center every game he's played and has started every game at center since the All-Star break. He has not started playing center for the sake of accolades (he hasn't gotten any awards this season anyhow), he's done it because the guys that were counted on to play center have been hurt so the Celtics need him to play big.
It's not a big deal though, KG has plenty of ASGs and All-NBAs, it's not like a lot of people are saying he's inferior to Chandler (I hope). He was probably listed as a forward on the ballot.
Where's James Harden? Dude is a beast. Better than Kobe this season.
