When i said american never played there, you know that i'm talking about big time players.
McAdoo and Wilkins are big time players, not to mention Deron, who got his number retired after two months and broke the Eurocup scoring record.

What are you talking about. Mc Adoo and Nique were big time players. :oldlol:

I'm not sure, but McAdoo and Wilkins were old when they came to Europe weren't they? I'm asking, i don't know.
Like i said, Deron Williams has a game suited to Europe style. But for example, i don't think a guy like Wall, Jennings or DeRozan who are above average players in NBA would be any good in Europe. Like Lawson wasn't.
Re: Hilton Armstrong: "Panathinaikos is the biggest step of my career."
Ty Lawson didn't adjust well at all but I think with a full year of European play under his belt, he would have been much better, probably a similar player to McCalebb at least. He seemed rusty and out of game shape when he played with Zalgiris. That team was also a mess last season.

Mc Adoo was like 50 and no NBA team wanted to sign him so he went to Europe and became young again.
Nique was still a good role player in NBA but he went to Europe and became a human highlight again.
Usually it takes a year for any average player to feel the Euro style. Just look at Childress, he struggled in his first year but took off in his 2nd year and named to All Euroleague team. Funny thing is he rarely played when he went back to the real man's league. :oldlol:

He was out of shape. He was probably concern about any injury as he is expecting a big NBA contract. I think he just wanted to go back to NBA. The same cannot be said about Farmar. He enjoyed playing in Europe. He wanted to be the man and Maccabi gave him the chance.
Even if you force feed Krstic the ball in NBA, he will never be best center in NBA. Only in Euroleague he can. Krstic was a good player years ago but today he's like a filler for most teams. :lol Are you saying Pekovic is a great NBA player after 1 year.:oldlol: Maybe he has the potential to be one but he is far from it. Even Pau Gasol is borderline great and he's been in NBA for years. And why you have to dig Acie Law from obscurity. Euroleague is good in recycling our garbage players and turning them to be useful in Europe.
I never said he would be best C in NBA but that he would play the same as he is in Europe , in other words he would have the same stats . Just because you don't think Pekovic or Gasol are clearly great players doesn't mean you are right , and Law is an example of player that is bad in Europe and in NBA .

I mean that's a straw man's argument. It's the same thing when people say that if you give any decent player as many shots as Kobe, Iverson, Jordan, etc...they would all put up the same stats. First off I disagree with that. Second off if you gave someone, like say, Nate Robinson, as many shots as Kobe or Durant, etc...he may put up good stats but his team would not win. If NBA coaches thought it would help them to win they would have given Krstic the ball more.
It's it not like Krstic put up these numbers to be voted the best center in Euroleague on a crappy team. He was the starting center and 2nd best player of Euroleague's runner-up. The team that lost the Euroleague final by one point.
BTW Anyone who doesn't think that either of the Gasol brothers are great players are wrong. Pekovic on the other hand, while being very good, has not earned the title great yet from what he was done in the NBA.
Re: Hilton Armstrong: "Panathinaikos is the biggest step of my career."
I don't like to post in those threads.. people troll for fun Euroleague (the poster), so the other european guys that try to have a decent conversation to enlight some NBA fans can't do that but let's try one more time.
- The best seasons that Ricky had were with DKV Joventut (same team where Rudy Fernandez started), he played ACB and Eurocup .. winning the Eurocup in one of those years.
- Barcelona's offense system was not good for Ricky, it didn't allow him to create so much and play with the freedom that he had in DKV, youth National teams and now in NBA. His stats dropped a lot, he wasn't confident but he sure wasn't the worst rotation player. He was average with some good sparks sometimes.
- Krstic is one of the best big mens in Euroleague, true. But we have to agree that CSKA and Serbia (when he played) had systems that allowed the interior players to have more the ball on offense.
- Currently, after a Eurohopes (european site) review of top 100 players.. Lorbek is the best player in Europe followed by McCallaeb and then Spanoulis.
- NBA is way better than Euroleague, but the gap between them is getting smaller every season.
I am starting to question your basketball knowledge now...
Re: Hilton Armstrong: "Panathinaikos is the biggest step of my career."
Krstic is still a very bad defender and a very soft player like he was in NBA but he is also great pick and roll player and thats something he wasn't doing in the NBA a lot . When Serbia played against France in Eurobasket last year Krstic scored 15+ and he was defended by Noah who is one of the best Cs in NBA , when Krstic played with Kidd he had 16 or 17 ppg so that tells you what can he do when someone is willing to give him the ball . I know the NBA has better players than Euroleague but just because player is bad in NBA doesn't mean he will be good in Euroleague ( for example Acie Law ) or that player that was great in Euroleague can't be great in NBA ( for example Pekovic ) . And about what league is better : most of Euroleague fan like me think that NBA is more of entertainment , for the fans who want to se flashy dunks and passes , than basketball league because of the rules and because there are so much games that it doesn't matter if you win or lose because you will play 80 more games .
Don't waste your time on this gaypizza guy. He is clearly a racist nutcase that hates all white players.
BTW, you REALLTY need to stop saying Acie Law is a bad player in Euroleague. Because he is actually a really good Euroleague player. At least 50 times better than Rubio was.

No ****ing way in hell is he as good as Bourousis.
Re: Hilton Armstrong: "Panathinaikos is the biggest step of my career."

Deron Williams has never played in the Euroleague or even the second level Eurocup.
He played in the European THIRD DIVISION you colossal moron.
Re: Hilton Armstrong: "Panathinaikos is the biggest step of my career."
Deron Williams was voted best Euroleague player by Euroleague fans.
