Even more reason to build the wall. We don
Because Mexico is ethnically diverse.
There is a cutoff point for what is considered ethnicity. You can't just "go back far enough" unless you're making your own definition of ethnicity.
because theres white spanish people and brown spanish people
its rare but how else do you explain Canelo Alvarez
European whites. European whites mixed with native Aztecs/Mayans. Descendants of Aztec/Mayans (little to no mix) aka Indians. Few blacks.
That's Mexico.

They seem to be predominantly Native American with some Spanish mixed in. Mexican is a nationality.

What do you mean you can
What do you mean you can’t just go back far enough? Who says so? And if there is a cutoff point what is it?
‘ethnic Mexicans’ makes about as much sense as ‘ethnic Virginians’. Mexicans don’t even have a language bruh.
You need to go to playa del carmen and meet the light skinned mexican chicas.
It isn't an ethnicity.
Mexican is not an ethnicity simply because we are a mixed people, just like most of Latin America. Native peoples + European peoples with a splash of African and others.
There are no government stats because the Mexican government doesn't take a race census but some universities have found that 70 something percent of the population are mixed, about 10-15% is pure native and about 10-15% is Euro (depending on the studies). We are a diverse country of mixed people. And amongst the mixed majority, you get differing degrees of genetics, since its impossible to be for example, 50% Native and 50% Spanish unless your parents are pure Native and pure Spanish. You have mixed people who are a majority Native and those who are a majority Euro and everything in between.
These are people from Mexico you guys might be familiar with and just look at the diversity...
Cuar
Stop stretching the page bruh.

Depends on the region.
The southern part of Mexico is more Native American and the northern and western part are more Euro, still being mixed people though. We are a brown country but within that, lots of color range. I'm in a government office as I write this and there are people going from dark brown to white skin with blonde hair. I could take a picture but thats weird and creepy :lol
