Great movie. :applause:
Viggo's best performance.
solid movie overall.
unfortunately there are lingering effects of racial prejudice till this day. the animosity is something you can only experience if you're a minority.
This was the safe predictable negro movie with a white savior, so of course Hollywood gave this the Oscar for best picture. It would have been too risky to give the Oscar to Black Klansman or If Beale Street Could Talk, two much better films that dealt with the African American experience.

They both “saved” each other, you dumbass.
You have a perpetual victim mentality. Let me know how life turns out for you.
Also... it was based on a true story, lol.
Hollywood is so pro black pro minority and full of liberal agendas that they can’t see straight and you’re essentially accusing them of white supremacy.
The fact that Black Panther got a nomination for best picture when it wasn’t even the best super hero movie, LMAO, should tell you something.
Your head is so far up your own ass that you can’t see straight.

Shut up you idiot.
great movie.
the stone :oldlol:
It's sad what the black racists are doing to this movie.
If anything, it paints the black guy as the hero as he breaks down stereotypes and shows the white man how to be virtuous.
F ucking sad.
The black guy is the educated and we'll mannered dude, extremely so I would say, the white guy is well meaning guy but started out as a racist and he's kinda dumb, (or uneducated).
Ok movie though but I don't know if it was the year's best movie...

the story was to the contrary. rarely do you find a movie set in that time where an African American is the main character with a white blue collar subordinate. The negro is a gay doctor of music for crying out loud. nothing about the movie was safe or predictable.
