Re: Official 2012-2013 Clutch Shots thread
While I was thinking "Deja vu ?", unfortunately I can't add it as a "game winner".
Reasoning ? The Spurs did end up tying the game at 100-100. However, I think I can add it as a "Take the lead with under 24 seconds rule".
Ray Allen has been dangerous in the big moments and LeBron's looking for him. :applause:
Spurs never tied it at 100-100. they got to 100-101 after Splitter hit 2 FTs

thats a game winner by Ray
Re: Official 2012-2013 Clutch Shots thread
Legends is actually right, after seeing the play by play... Ray Allen made it 100-98, it was LEBRON who made it 101-98 with a freethrow... Splitter then hit 2 fts making it 101-100... Splitter would have tied the game if Lebron didnt hit that freethrow...

Ray misses and the Spurs likely control the game. They were up 98-97 with 44 secods to go. Missing would give them the ball and a chance to go up by 3-4. That last shot was the last made shot of the game, and it was the one that essentially won the game for Miami.
where's kobe's three?
Misses the criteria cut, because it's 0.5 tenth more than 24 seconds. I know, it's kind off a dumb rule (did not make that up, basketball analysts did) and I probably should have considered making more lists (clutch shot in 48 seconds or below; 1 minute and under, etc... probably still could, but it's pretty deep in the season already).
Kobe's shot is "clutch", regardless.

Nice win by the Cavs.
Re: Official 2012-2013 Clutch Shots thread
Batum hit a 3 leaving 0.2 left on the clock in double OT against the Cavs for the win.
118-117.

It should be at least on the "Take the lead with 24 seconds or under shot" category here and Lebron assisting i guess would be in "Game Tying assists leaders"

Yeah, Ledge definitely saved himself early on, before things got too outta control. That first premise would have had every player in history looking like a Superstar.
Most Clutch NBA Players Today
This is always a high topic for debate, usually it's a matter of personal opinion. However, using my standards, (The shot is taken in the fourth quarter or overtime with 24 or less seconds left - making it as close to a last possession as we can for filtering stats. The game is tied or the shooters team is down by 1 or 2 points, this way any shot can tie and/or win the game.) you can see if your favorite player is one of the elite crunch time players in the league.

And yep, after DeRozan made a game-winning buzzer-beater, the next Raptors game just had another one, but this time with the opposing Kyrie Erving with a very deep three with 0.7 sec left.
