6-7 Cheaney
?????
Bulls swept them in the first round. :oldlol:
"Listed Heights...especially in the "modern era" have become a WELL KNOWN joke.
well, since we are using listed heights for everyone, it shouldnt matter. besides, there is no authoritative "true" height list so **** off.
Found this interesting little tidbit in Muresan's wiki. Not the NBA, but still pretty crazy promotional stunt.
On March 11, 2007, Mureșan played a game for the Maryland Nighthawks as part of the tallest lineup in the history of basketball.[2] This is the only basketball game Mureșan has ever played where he was not the tallest person on the court, as Sun Mingming is 7' 9" (2.36 m).
dont feel like doin the math, but the starting 5 on lebrons debut was pretty big
lebron
ricky davis
d-miles
boozer
big z
2003 Allstar Team
7-7 Yao
7-0 Duncan
6-12 Garnett taller than Duncan
6-6 Kobe but 7 foot when one counts his springs
6-2 Francis but 7 foot when one counts his springs
1985 Rockets
John Lucas 6'3"
Lewis Lloyd 6'6"
Rodney McCray 6'7"
Hakeem Olajuwon 7'0"
Ralph Sampson 7'4"

Lucas did not play in the 1986 Playoffs due to drug problems, and the Rockets started Robert Reid, who was 6' 8". That adds 5 inches to the total, making it 409.
So they were even taller in the playoffs, and made the 1986 Finals.
Lakers after Metta's suspension this year:
Ramon Sessions 6'3"
Kobe Bryant 6'6"
Devin Ebanks 6'9"
Pau Gasol 7'0"
Andrew Bynum 7'0"
402"
I feel like there should be some kind of stipulation... Like, each guy had to start over half of the season's games to be considered a "starter." Bradley only started around 35 games that year.
I was thinking about maybe one of the Sixers teams with Manute Bol, but then I realized that Barkley being so relatively short for a PF would likely cancel out any major advantage that Bol gave them.
How about this one...
2005 Rockets
Rafer Alston - 6'2"
Chuck Hayes - 6'6"
Tracy McGrady - 6'8"
Shane Battier - 6'8"
Yao Ming - 7'6"

It is amazing how close these top ones are. 34'3" is still standing.
Yeye, fair enough. I was just doing the math.
2009 Toronto Raptors
Jose Calderon - 6'3"
Anthony Parker - 6'6"
Andrea Bargnani - 7'0"
Chris Bosh - 6'10"
Jermaine O'Neal - 6'11"
402" if I calculated correctly.
2012 Knicks
Iman Shumpert 6'5"
Landry Fields 6'7"
Carmelo Anthony 6'8"
Amar'e Stoudemire 6'11"
Tyson Chandler 7'1"
404"
Correct me if they didn't start this lineup but I believe they did.
Technically the tallest starting five to ever grace an NBA basketball court would be the 2005 West-Allstar Starters..
G Kobe Bryant 6'6
G Tracy Mcgrady 6'8
F Kevin Garnett 6'11
F Tim Duncan 6'11
C Yao Ming 7'6
Grand total of 414 inches.
I am going by ACTUAL heights.
Eaton TOWERED over Sampson. And there are those that claim that Hakeem was only 6-8. He was certainly nowhere near 7-0.
Didn't know this thread was from last year so I thought jlauber was back :lol What happened to that guy??
Magic 6-8
Lebron 6-8
Durant 6-11
Hakeem 7-0
Yao 7-6
what about the dirk-shawn bradley mavs?
