Warriors seriously interested in Shaun Livington
During his conference call with local media today, Chris Mullin (answering a question from my man Tim Kawakami) told reporters the Warriors will be going to look at Shaun Livingston in Chicago tomorrow. He said the workout was scheduled long before the Warriors learned starting point guard Monta Ellis would be out for three months after today’s knee surgery. Certainly, they will be looking on with much more intensity. Contra Costa Times

Livingston's injury was nasty, but if there's someone that can come back from a shattered knee wouldn't it be a guy that was just starting his career?
Shaun Livingston is still a young man, and the thing that's most impressive about his game is his ballhandling and passing ability, not his explosive drives and dunks. At worst he'll be a guy that can come into the game and handle the press, a situation that, at times, looked like it was going to cost the Celtics a championship last season. At best he's an all-star. My guess is he'll fall somewhere between. It's going to take a couple of years through. He doesn't have the veteran knowledge that can make up for diminished physical skill. |

Re: Warriors seriously interested in Shaun Livington
His knee injury was the nastiest thing I've ever seen.
He tore his ACL, PCL, MCL,LCL, meniscus and Patella tendon all in one? Or something like that right? That's basically everything you can tear |
Re: Warriors seriously interested in Shaun Livington
Livingstick unfortunately has not recovered well from his injury.
The Warriors are getting desperate. The Monta injury set their season back.:hammerhead: |

Tinsley looks like a serial killer.

Re: Warriors seriously interested in Shaun Livington
If Livingston ever recovers and plays the way he did right before his injury and Ellis' injury doesn't affect him much, a Livingston/Ellis back court could be scary. Ellis guarding the opposing points while Shaun sticks the twos.

If livingston recovers, it'll be a miracle, but if that were to happen, that backcourt could work. There would be a lack of outside shooting, but Monta has been improving every year in the league. I don't think you could negate outside shooting from at least one of your guards, you need it to be successful, so the bigs can go to work and that you keep the defense honest. It could work as far as defensive is concerned, but offensively, the kinks would need to be work out... |

Maybe they could work a trade for Harrington plus cash to NY for Marbury. It fits what both teams are trying to accomplish immediately. Harrington can opt out after this season or wait and become a free agent after the 2009-2010 season, I believe. Marbury would give GS the scoring pg Nellie usually likes for his system, and then they wouldn't have to rush Monta back too soon. |
Re: Warriors seriously interested in Shaun Livington
Miami should sign him. What's to lose? If he pans out he's the perfect complement to Wade, if he doesn't, he always can be cut.
