What's the best video game system to buy in 2020?
Not in a rush, but would like to have one maybe by the start of next season, so maybe by Sept/Oct 2020, to get back into playing 2K.

PS5 and new XBOX will be released by end of 2020, I'd wait for one of those.

Wait for PS5, price and console design should be announced any day now
With PS5 being backward compatible, I wonder what deals they'll have for trading in your PS4 for a PS5. $100 off?
It's so convienent that we'll be able to port over our old games onto new hardware. Especially PS+ account and digital titles
Been a big Halo fan, so Halo Infinite is on my list.
Trick question, regardless of the year the best system to buy is always PC
None. Get a good gaming PC. It's too late to worry about the current systems( and they're still priced too high at this stage in the gen) and the next systems won't have their own unique titles for a couple years. Remember that shit like Bloodborne didn't come out till 2015 and Ps4 launched in 2013.
Get a good PC and have access to all major third party titles, Microsoft titles, then get a PS5 around 2021 after the first price drop and something worth the price is out for it.
ps4 for now .... untill ps5 comes out

Wait for Xbox Series X in the fall.
If you aint got a ps4 by now I see little reason to get one unless you can find one for dirt cheap and ride it out for a couple years.

Depends
XBSX is going with a more social Free-2-Play route and cloud gaming vision, (Fortnite, Apex, etc). They're not even dropping exclusive games for that console for 12 months after release
PS5 on the other hand are going around buying out dev studios exclusively for their single player titles (Death Stranding, TLOU, Spiderman, God of War, Horizon)
I would not pass up on a playstation exclusives next generation, they knocked it out with PS4 the past 7 years
If anyone wants a cheap Xbox, wait till the Series X drops and grab the current X model cheap. These consoles are being designed to scale up or down like a PC. Unless you need the latest and greatest on day one but that obviously comes at a price. The current X will still get you some quality gaming until 2022, then get the series X when it's either had a price drop or has its own exclusives that can't be played on X. Fukk I hate these damn names, Xbox One X, XBox series X. WTF Microsoft?
If you want something that is quite versatile, something that you can bring whenever you want, the nintendo switch is good i guess.
Xbox one
