Re: Durant video at Rucker is sick! Durant = playground GOAT
As a pro? Sure. He plays in Goodman League every summer the past 3 - 4 years.
Personally if I was an NBA player. I would do it maybe once just to be mythic. And I'd only do it at Rucker.
The summer should be for honing your craft behind closed doors, w/ little eyes viewing.
That way the next season you catch people by suprise with new elements to your game.
Funny you mentioned 'honing skills behind closed doors'.
That's the way ninjas do, man ... you have to stay mysterious.
The more they see of you, the more they become comfortable with you ...
The less they fear you. And as a ball player, I'd want to be feared.
I would do it one time @ Rucker, and then never be seen again.
Summer time is for getting BETTER.
Re: Kevin Durant played at Rucker Park, 66 points!
The fact durant showed up and played he deserves a lot of props.
Re: Kevin Durant played at Rucker Park, 66 points!
If Kevin Durant really does show off his handles at Rucker while he's there and then its on youtube, then I might regret it.

Re: Kevin Durant played at Rucker Park, 66 points!
tuesday night stats :
Durant's shot was off throughout the night. He connected on only 9-of-29 shots and missed 10-of-12 3-point attempts, but he did make 21-of-23 free throws. He grabbed six rebounds and had seven assists with four turnovers.
He quickly ruled out fatigue as the reason for missing so many shots.

Re: Kevin Durant played at Rucker Park, 66 points!
I made a pilgrimage from the United Kingdom to Rucker Park back in 2009. Kevin Durant's explosion is exactly what makes the place so legendary. Has anyone else visited Rucker Park? Here's a story about my time in Harlem: http://basketballjournalist.blogspot.com/2011/08/kevin-durant-and-legend-of-rucker-park.html

Re: Kevin Durant played at Rucker Park, 66 points!
You know who used to kill in the Rucker league, Talfair. He was eye poppin good. More AND 1 ish tho than NBA like. My favorite was Shamgod. It was a lot of fun watching him. I didn't see Kobe but I did catch Baron Davis, Quinton Richardson and Marbury there.
