Greg Foster to be Bucks assistant coach

Greg Foster's assistant-coaching stint with the 76ers was short-lived.

The 45-year-old left the franchise after one season for a better opportunity as the second assistant coach with the Milwaukee Bucks, according to several sources. Foster was one of the Sixers' player development coaches. The former NBA center also worked with the team's big men.

When the Bucks were in Las Vegas for summer league there was talk that former point guard Gary Payton might join Kidd's staff.

But Foster's addition means that will not happen. The 45-year-old Foster is a native of Oakland, Calif., and was a high school teammate with Payton.
