Good trade.. Ed Davis would have a quality minutes now with Arthur gone.
I like this trade for both teams, assuming Arthur can stay healthy.
Enter Javale McGee.
Nuggets really want McGee starting apparently. Arthur could help them though.
I love it from the Grizzlies perspective. Hollins refused to play Davis to prove a point and continued to play Arthur even though he was under producing. Now Ed Davis gets more minutes and Koufos can be a legit back up Center when needed. Griz will resign Jon Leuer as a jump shooting/hustle PF off the bench when needed.
Good trade for both teams
Kosta is the definition of solid, but had a major dissapearing act in the playoffs.
Nuggets will re-sign Mozgov who would have left if we still had Kosta
FT shooting was one of our main problems last season, and should be much better now without Kosta and Brewer (we'll still have igggy hopefully)
We get a big who comes from a great defensive team and can hit the mid-range jumper (something we havent had in years) + one of the PG's that impressed in workouts (Erick Green)
I hope Kosta does well in Memphis!
This means more consistent PT for Davis, which he needs. Also it would really help to conserve Zbo. He's getting old, and looked gassed by the Spurs series.

Doesn't Javale have asthma? He is best suited coming off the bench in spurts.
does any grizzlies fans wanna give me a quick scouting report on arthur
i've always been a fan, but i aint no expert.

who told you this? George Karl?
he was fired because he refused to play McGee (and failing to get to the 2nd round year after year)

Solid rebounder/defender and good spot up shooter with decent explosiveness. He's the only Nugget big who can hit long 2's and will fit in well. Good trade for Nuggets imo gives them more spacing and a actually pick n pop threat off the bench.
some believe McGee and Faried wont be the best pairing defensively. And I get where they are coming from
Maybe Arthur even ends up starting alongside McGee. With Faried being a major boost of the bench playing 30mpg
So McGee will get a big amount of minutes?
I guess in the end the only person happy about this will be Shaq :lol

McGee and Faried can't start together, they don't have any offensive moves except dunks and their defense is average.
I'm baffled on why they traded Kosta, he was the only big man that was actually a basketball player.
The other 2 are just incredible athletes.
lol. what the **** do you know
offense aint no problem with them. But Shaw better make them work on defense

In the regular season no, but in the playoffs it will be again once teams body up on them hard both will get taken out of the game and probably be outplayed on the other end. I wonder if Denver can package something for LMA he would do wonders for them.
this era is weak as shit for big men. how many bigs have real post moves? Bosh and Duncan? Maybe Marc Gasol
Faried has a nice touch and first step for a big man. to go a long with good body control and coordination
McGee also has a nice touch, but his footwork is too mechanic.
I'm not worried about our offense. Our offense was more than good enough to beat GSW. And maybe even SAS/MEM
but the defense is what ****s us in the playoffs
would luis scola save us? post moves isnt everything in basketball
lawson can score or create on pretty much anyone when he wants to. let him Iggy and Gallo create the offense when the game slows down
Shaw might even use Gallo much more in the post
would luis scola save us? post moves isnt everything in basketball
No but he would help far more than Faried, you can throw him the ball let him work/draw a double team and his high IQ would be greatly beneficial. Carl Landry also wouldn't be a bad pick up imo.
Nuggets got a killer perimeter with Lawson, Gallo, Chandler, Iggy and Gino 2.0 imo they just missing a big who can hit shots and create for himself time to time. Trade Miller+ other pieces to get something good back.
Every team that advanced in the playoffs deep had a scoring PF/C who could hit middies and score in the post. Denver and the Clippers didn't and they were two of the better teams in the regular season that failed.
i guess we just disagree. I want the nuggets to score more than their opponents, dont care how they do it.
and we have had no problem scoring after we traded Nene. even in the playoffs.
defense on the other hand. Dont see how Scola or someone similar would help us there
this season is all about getting the D back in Denver
this season is all about getting the D back in Denver
So who do you reckon they should go after?
I'm all for anything that results in more minutes for JaVale McGee :applause:

Why? Just so he can make more boneheaded mistakes?

no one at the moment. let Shaw do his thing first
all i want the to do is add a shooter. and trade Dre. Maybe not if he accept playing 13mpg behind Lawsome

Yeah I agree it's time to move Dre, Anthony Morrow I think is available he wouldn't be a bad pick up.
ofc. i wouldnt be againt getting LMA. but i doubt he wants to come here, and i doubt we have what Portland wants
