female judge means kidnapping = holding her hand while arguing
Never heard of any good players coming out of Shaolin Monastery:confusedshrug:
btw that was 3 counts 2 years + 3 years + 2 years
7 years in jail... his careers over
tha ****
Thats pretty sad...but you have to pay the consequences for your actions. Tough luck but if you only have yourself to blame.
don't get involved with a woman? nah, just don't threaten and hold them against their will. move on. seven years does sound really rough, especially if he doesn't have a criminal history, but i don't know the details of the case.
women are extremely protected by the law (don't take that the wrong way, not advocating women beating here), but i have a hard time seeing a judge dish out seven years if there wasn't substantial physical evidence and witness accounts. again, could be wrong...justice system has fvcked up plenty of times for that to be true.
anyway, amusing/funny the way he kept looking at the lawyer incredulously like, 'yo, you gonna fix this right?' :oldlol:
The lawyer can still fix this. Just appeal the shit outta this shitty ruling.
You can say this about any guy. The stupidest thing any guy can do is to have a long term girlfriend/wife in his 20s. It makes no sense to me. You are basically blowing the best years of your life when you should be out exploring the world and figuring out life. I will never understand why any man with a pair of balls would ever want to settle down, especially early in life.

And sometimes, folks have to know when they come across someone that's worth hanging onto. It's not always terribly easy to find someone we truly, truly fit with, so if guys stumble upon that early on, I cannot really fault them.
On the flip side, and not regarding the unlawful situation mentioned in the first link, I have seen my fair share of former players of mine who've been on track to becoming college athletes, only to be distracted and lose their will to work due to finding themselves a woman late in their high school career. Usually when we start noticing a formerly committed player beginning to skip workouts and open gyms, or not showing up to the courts in the summer, we can bet it all has to do with a female.
I remember having an assistant coach who didn't know much about basketball, but one time he told us to wait on obsessing over the ladies until after our basketball careers because the ladies would always be there but basketball wouldn't, and I thought it was crazy at the time, but he might have been on to something. It was probably the most poignant piece of basketball advice he ever offered.
The law is messed up tho, if a woman did this to a man she'll probably get away with it with a $25 fine

His reaction makes me believe he is innocent. Sad if he really is, if he isn't then good job judge.

Seriously. a 6"7" high schooler. damn....
I suppose there is video evidence on this?
Edit: Also i would appeal the sh*t out of that verdict because that is bullcrap.

the guy can play.......and he is innocent.....let him go

Judge will review his case again after 180 days and colleges are waiting to see how it plays out (they still have him on their radar).... this judge may just be trying to set this cat straight while hes young. I dont know if he's guilty or not, but I wouldnt be surprised if the judge lets him go after the 180 days.
Can't watch the video on my iPad but 7 years?
In Sweden you hardly get 7 years for killing someone, some time ago a young guy started a fight over a parking lot with 2 elders and he opened the car door and punched the old man in the face twice and when the old man's lady came to help the man she got punched in the face and hit the concrete and died.
That guy got 1 year and 10 months in jail..
Sweden and the US should really mix together their punishments of criminals. Sweden is way too low and the US is just nuts..
His reaction makes me believe he is innocent. Sad if he really is, if he isn't then good job judge.
Innocent? The entire incident was caught on camera:oldlol:
Farmer was indicted by a grand jury on charges of kidnapping, felonious assault and robbery stemming from an altercation last April with his ex-girlfriend, Andrea Lane, in the lobby and parking lot of her apartment complex in Bedford Heights.

Kidnapping ? :wtf:
Well, **** my parents should be in jail right now. :lol
It's only 3 years according to other articles I read. 7 yrs would be crazy
btw that was 3 counts 2 years + 3 years + 2 years
Damn that white lawyer sucks :oldlol:
Doesn't help he was representing a dumbass with no money who didn't take a plea deal.
He is from Ohio, it was on Cleveland news this morning. He supposedly kicked the girl in the head several times when she was down. His sentence is totally justified imo. His girlfriend (the girl who was attacked) did not want to press charges.

right, parents that ground their kids, and prevent them from leaving the home, should be charged with kidnapping as well then ..... :oldlol:
Hard to watch but obviously deserved. Dragging and kicking? Sickening.
poor kid. i don't know the exact circumstances of the case but it's probably blown out of proportion.
this is what happens when u veer off of the path.

The whole thing was caught on camera. I doubt any of it is blown out of proportion.

Serving all counts concurrently, meaning it's a 3 year sentence.
Poor kid? He dragged her by the hair, punched her while she was down, then kidnapped her
And despite that, she still asked the judge not to put him in prison.
Don't get involved with a female? This aint her fault. Dude needed counseling.
tsk tsk. If only he decided to wait 4 years to do this when he was an nba player, he probably would have to just pay a fine and community service, or very minimal jail time. Money can buy you freedom in this country. Sad, but true.
