Check this out.

I don't think he leaving. Where else is he going to go?

I doubt if he goes to JB seeing that he has said in the past that he doesnt want to be in MJ's shadow.

Adidas... :D

Didn't read the article though, but I don't really see a reason why he would leave.

Re: Lebron Leaving Nike?

There's no way Lebron leaves Nike. Nike made Lebron "KING JAMES" and Lebron James, as a marketing entity, is too intertwined with Nike for him to split off and be succesful.

I bet Nike has "KING JAMES" trademarked or atleast could stop Adidas from using that moniker if Lebron signed with them, so at the very least, he'd need a new nickname after working so hard to establish this one.

On top of that, imagine if Lebron leaves Nike for Adidas and leaves Cleveland for NYC, that could make him out to be "a typical athlete who has no loyalty, no love for the game, and is just out there for the money." That'd be a PR disaster for a guy who's worked around the clock trying to make himself seem likeable and build himself as a brand.
