Hope he sticks with college ball another year, but I doubt it. Just knocked off KU @ Phog Allen Fieldhouse.

U must have went to Jr High with him
If I had a nickel for every time someone spelled DWYANE WADE's name wrong I'd be a millionaire.
Forgive my skepticism when every random guard without a consistent jumper has been labelled "the New Dwayne Wade".

Smart is a great dunker, but not the best on OSU's roster

Markel Brown has insane athleticism.

Great article
Had a rough scoring game against Baylor last time out.. shooting 4/21, but ended up with a great game regardless: 8 boards, 7 asst, 4 steals, 14 pts.
Next up: Smart vs Texas in minutes
Lol god no:roll:
Won't even scratch wade's career
^ :lol Losers don't know sh!t, even when they're spewing it
Marcus Smart today:
23 pts, 7 rebs, 5 steals
(MVP of the Big 12 as a Freshman). No one has wrecked the league like this as a freshman since Durant.
Pokes win:applause:
He's my favorite player in the draft. I called the DWade comparison when I saw him in high school and I'm not backing down.
Not saying he will be the next DWade like OP is saying, but he plays very similarly and there's no doubt in my mind he will be a very good pro. How good? Who knows. One team is going to get a major building piece for their future.
Rodney Purvis reminds me more of Wade they play the same exact way even move the same way, but Smart will probably be better

I've seen better games from wade in his rookie year in the NBA

The **** is your point? College bball is a different game.
I've seen better games from wade in his rookie year in the NBA
Blake Griffin never had the impact in the Big 12 that he has had in the NBA.
Very different leagues...
Here's a Player A vs. Player B comparison. Stats are from the freshman year of both players:
Player A: 14.2 pts; 5.9 reb; 4.7 ast; 0.8 blk; 3.0 stl; 40.2 FG%; 27.7 3PT%; 77.1 FT%
Player B: 14.9 pts; 4.5 reb; 4.7 ast; 0.4 blk; 1.2 stl; 47.7 FG%; 33.7 3PT%; 71.2 FT%
Player A is Marcus Smart. Player B is Derrick Rose from 2007-2008, the #1 pick of the draft after his freshman year. By the way, Smart is listed at 6'4'' and 225 lbs. Rose is listed at 6'3'' and 205 lbs. Of course Rose has world-class athleticism and shot slightly higher percentages than Smart.

rose came on hella strong as the season went on though, by march, he was a lot better than his averages indicated.
HGH is going to be tested in the NBA starting next season. There is no next Dwyane Wade
Where did this guy even come from? I've never heard anything on Marcus Smart until now? Do you guys think this guys game can translate this well to the NBA and warrant the #1 pick?
I think he has more value in the nba as a pg than a sg. I could see him go top 3 or no worse than 14 so it would be tough seeing him return for a soph season

Guy's a great player, but talking about A vs B I'd take Player B (Rose) 10/10 times based on those stats. 40% FG/ 27% 3P vs 47.7 FG/ 33 % 3P, with close stats across the board (minus steals).
Nobody shooting 40% is the next Wade
Maybe Steve Francis if he works at it
40%? - I'm on the wagon. Not the next Wade Wagon - but I like the kid :lol
Here is to actively hoping he's not the new Wade - in that he actually has a consistent jumper and 3 point shot and doesn't need refs to act as his personal crutch when he gets to the league
So the refs are going to carry him to multiple championships?
COOL!

"Pay attention to Marcus Smart: The Oklahoma State guard might be the most unheralded player in the country right now. Seriously. The reason might be that on their own, none of his numbers jumps off the stat line -- he averages 14.4 points, 5.8 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 3.0 steals per game -- but then go back and look at that list collectively.
He
 Wade was putting up 24\7\6 on his second year in the NBA leading his team to the ECF, only injuries stopping him.
