Generally speaking the midwest of America is dying. People are leaving. The midwest used to be about manufacturing. America just cant compete anymore. You can get comparable quality in latin america and asia for much cheaper

I currently live in DuPage, in a lower middle class household, and things aren't even that expensive. We get along just fine.

haha that is why my grandma relocated from Round Lake to Atlanta.
While me and my bro were over there, my brother actually tried to encourage my grandma to move back and she replied "oooh no no no no no no it's too cold!"
Re: Why was Illinois the 2nd most out-migration state last year?

Right, because corn fields are naturally where the majority of the population lives and concerns itself with.
Re: Why was Illinois the 2nd most out-migration state last year?
Well several factors:
1) Temperature. Winters are brutal.
2) Increase in taxes. State income tax just increase to 5% a few years ago and road tolls doubled in 2012. This goes hand in hand with the inability of the state to manage their finances.
3) Manufacturing is dying everywhere in the US, the midwest has not been able to adjust to this change IMO.
Re: Why was Illinois the 2nd most out-migration state last year?
Illinois is run by corrupt chicago and chicago sucks.
Re: Why was Illinois the 2nd most out-migration state last year?
taxes and shitty weather will do that.
Re: Why was Illinois the 2nd most out-migration state last year?
use to live in barrington hills... moved out to huntington beach because property taxes and liberals ruined that state.
