Never played it, I wouldn't even know where to start
Everytime I watch tidbits of gameplay I have no idea what's happening
Used to play the game a lot during my college days. Sad to say, there are lots of noobs in pvp mode who show that they don't deserve to play at all. Oh, and riot has just recently released an android/apple version of the game dubbed 'wild rift'. Obviously it's optimized for mobile tho and thus, screen is mostly fixated on your champion during gameplay.

do you have to invest a lot of time into it?
or can you just casually play it here n there?
It always kind of spooked me off bc it reminds me of WoW or DOTA and those games

It's a typical moba if you're used to play that genre but learning curve isn't that hard compared to dota. They made the mechanics more simple and friendly although of course, that can also depend which characters you'll choose in battles too.
Some are basic, some are complex, with their differing skill sets and various roles between support, jungle, carry, etc. But it's very fun because it's 5v5. Battles can usually last between 20-30 minutes. The goal here is to destroy the core building of your enemy's base. The first team to do it wins regardless if your team have stat-padded a lot or not.

You can casually play the tutorial is very helpful. If you want to play serious though will take a long time as you need to know every character it takes more skill to learn than dota. Dota is just a snooze feet so less people pick it up
Good shit
I'll give it a shot one of these days

I suggest you to try both pc and mobile versions to find out which one you'd prefer. However, the latter still only has limited champions to choose from because it's not a full release yet.
League of Legends, although a little difficult to learn, is a fun game once you get the hang of it. There's diverse characters, and the main game itself is pretty straightforward. There's always something new to learn in the game.

Damn these skins are awesome. Too bad i don't wanna spend money on some aesthetics that i won't even be using that much. :(
Yeah very cool game, I remember I had lots of skins on that game lol, but the thing is they keep making new updates so that it is hard to adjust your playstyle, and soloque always toxic.

Have you noticed those kids who use yasuo as their main? They're one of the main reasons why people lose games more often lol.
