LEBRON JAMERS:bowdown:
Mr. 20,000
Wilt Chamberlain.
He should of won at least 4 championships.
That's fully on the team, not just his playing deciding that.
If you blame Wilt for not stepping up and choking, sure, he's had that (just like every other superstar player)... but it wasn't always his fault to put the blame on.
I remember in an interview with Russell, Wilt himself admitted that maybe he didn't have a killer instinct
While I'll always respect Russell, I just can't buy that. At least not statistically.
In 24 elimination games, Wilt has a career average of 31.5ppg... and that's like 2nd all-time to LeBron right now.
In his first 12 elimination games, before Wilt changed his role and was still the #1 scoring option, he averaged 40ppg, which included 3 of his 4 50+ point games.
And he was the Finals MVP twice (if they had back in 1967, he would have won it) and still gets the choker claim, Russell interview, etc...
:confusedshrug:
I don't know what "killer instinct" he lacked, because it wasn't his scoring, rebounding, defense, etc... sure, he stunk on the line, but the majority of the time, Wilt was the guy responsible for keeping his team in the game.
he didn't take basketball as serious as Russell, MJ, Bird & Magic.
Physically ? No.
Mentally ? Yeah, I agree to an extent. He wasn't that driven as the players you mentioned, but he was still very dominant for his opposition to not take seriously either.
Wilt.
Bird.
Bird
I love how Wilt and Magic were almost dead even during the last vote, and now it's Bird owning Wilt. SMH. :facepalm
Bird.

Hey, that may have to do with people's Top 5 not being in line with what the ISH consensus is yet at the same time not going with the idea that Bird ain't top five. If Wilt had won #4, I'd still be voting Bird against Magic here.
Wilt
Lebron james shuld have the position now, so in 2 years after he 3peats, we don't have to come back and do thsi thread again
wilt chamberneezy
Wilt stop hating on him ISH

It's not like the top 10 here has any meaning in the real sports world.
