Where does Matthew Stafford rank among other QBs?

Do you think he's top 10?

I'm not a fan. He was the second best QB in that game he just pulled out. If he's Top 10, it's borderline. Makes bad mistakes, get's bailed out often by how brilliant Calvin Johnson is.

I agree with this. But I do think in the next few couple of seasons he will start to inch towards the top tier class of quarterbacks.

Underrated.

It is without question that Calvin inflates Stafford's numbers...there are lots of QBs who can just launch air balls to Calvin regardless of how many defenders are on him.

But, that last drive in the Cowboys game was more Stafford than Calvin, that was brilliant IMO...he made 2 absolutely flawless throws and then the goal line move which NO ONE saw coming, not even his own team...that gave me some new respect for Stafford that I never had

I agree with niko..."If he's Top 10, it's borderline"

I have a question, that last play the refs were reviewing, what were they reviewing? He jumped into endzone, if not he ran in. If Dallas had 1 more second or not?

I have no idea why they reviewed it for so long. When the commentators were talking about it, they made no mention of the time and I don't think they ultimately changed the time.

He doesn't make that many mistakes, and it's not easy throwing 50 times a game with no running game, no defense, and no offensive line. He threw for ten thousand yards the past two years and he's about to make it three.

Last year his decision making was atrocious. This year he has been smarter.

This. His decision making earlier in the game at times wasn't great either. He also throws balls that require a slight touch 900 mph at times.

He has an incredible arm, along with a penchant for making really bad decisions.

It's a team game, and I don't want to get into the whole "QB don't win games" discussion. Some do. At least occassionally, they snatch victory from the jaws of defeat like he did Sunday.

But for his career he's 1-23 vs teams that ended the season with a winning record. His sole victory vs a +500 team this year is against Chicago. They got curb stomped by Green Bay and lost a game they never should have vs Cincy at home. That nags at me.

I'll agree with the "if he's Top 10 it's borderline" camp.
