this is an interesting colonial creature made up of 2,000+ hotwheels.
if you stare at it a long time you will notice it moving very, very slowly...

mechanically they also have a 3-axis system of focusing whereas humans
only have two. something like that, anyway.
but if you watch video of their eyes in action, you'll see the pupils 'scanning'
back and forth like a cylon from the original battlestar galactica. it's super-
crazy-wild-awesome.... the closest thing we'll ever see to an extra-terrestrial
visual system, i'm sure.
