Re: There has never been a more mind****ed ATG player than Kevin Durant
I actually agree that Magic gets a huge pass for doing that, but honestly even that example doesn't come close to comparing to what KD did. The Lakers were a 2nd tier playoff team with Kareem that never even made it past the 2nd round his first 4 years in L.A. The closest example you'll find to KD would be Moses joining Doc & the Sixers after they made 3 Finals together before he got there, but even that isn't on equal terms with KD going to the Warriors.
Sure, 25-50 years from now fans that weren't around for this era might not put any consideration into what KD did and take his titles at face value, but honestly, even that's extremely dubious. All it's going to take is a quick look through basketball reference to see that the Warriors won a title before he got there then won another after he left, and that isn't even including winning 73 games and making another Finals trip after he got injured.
It’s just funny how you seem like you are the arbiter on when stacking is too much. In your opinion LeBron’s the decision is perfectly fine….but then KD colluding is so bad and completely unacceptable. It’s just convenient you see a huge LeBron Stan and your takes are insanely biased. Everyone doesn’t have the same agendas as you. No one looks back at previous Dynasties and discredits them for being “not fair”. It just does f happen. You are just interjecting your personal feelings on the matter.

If you think LeBron joining up with the 2nd and 4th PER in the league and in the conference in his Prime while promising 7 plus championships wasnt totally insane at the time…and moves like that lead to KD joining…Then you are just a biased LeBron Stan. And a ****ing cry baby.
Sauce?
That's cap circumvention 100%.
The next CBA gonna be ruthless. Owners let these super max contract players run wild and some of them are abusing the shit out of it.
It was either written a year ago or early into the season. If I find it, I'll send you a link (would be nice Jeff if we could PM people on ish).
Damian Lillard preach loyalty, got his super max, and is now not happy. Same with Harden, Ben Simmons, Durant, etc etc.
It's absolutely sickening that this is happening. Lebron moves to a shit ton of teams, but at least man has the balls to stay until his contract is out. Asking for a trade 1-2 years after you get a max contract is ****ing ridiculous.
Re: There has never been a more mind****ed ATG player than Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant just a weird dude. But he deserve his rings he was a difference maker for the Warriors. He was all-nba/all-star on title teams.

lol. kd joined a 73 win team that just beat him in the wcf...with a championship core already in place. lebron teamed up with wade, who hadn't won a playoff series in 4 yrs...and bosh, who never won a playoff series. he arguably saved their careers. especially wade. his only claim to fame would be a rigged ft shooting championship vs an owner stern hated if not for lefriendship.
like the other guy said...your'e a fkn retard if you can't see the difference.
Re: There has never been a more mind****ed ATG player than Kevin Durant
It's funny that I have no idea how he feels about Kyrie right now. Does KD want to leave to get away from Kyrie or is it because they didn't resign Kyrie long term?
If it is the latter then he really needs a checkup from the neck up.

supposedly kd lobbied for a kyrie max contract. bkn's unwillingness to do this offended both of them seems like. also seems like they could be traded to the same team but unlikely. who could it even be. so they both made a list.
Re: There has never been a more mind****ed ATG player than Kevin Durant
A team with no prospects would be willing to take in Irving so that they could have Durant. I don't know who exactly it will be but huge trades we don't see coming can happen even if it may end up involving 4 teams. They don't need to actually create a championship team they just have to create a buzz for the team they go to and it could be a win for ownership. If you're running the Kings you would be better off with Durant. Irving could be annoying but if it's possible for him to behave like a professional he will do so this upcoming season in a contract year after he has been forcibly down that he isn't in high demand anymore due to his antics. And if he doesn't straighten up he's gone in a year but as you were the kings is no big deal. Trade KD to get back done of the picks you had to give up to get him and make the Playoffs and get national attention for a year in the meantime
Re: There has never been a more mind****ed ATG player than Kevin Durant
This is a great take.
Regardless of how weak the move to Golden state was.. it doesn't change anything about him as a player.
The dude averaged like 35/8/5 on near 70% TS in the finals and hit multiple clutch daggers. I don't care what other players in history you put in his position, very few would be capable of doing what he did as an individual.
So he made one weak move by going to Golden state... but it changes nothing of him as a player. It only highlighted how amazing his talent fits with a great shooting team.
The far worse move was leaving - what? just because of what some idiots on Twitter were saying? The goal should be to win and KD on GSW was a guaranteed dynasty for years to come. Instead, he's had Curry win without him, with him and again WITHOUT him. He's an idiot.
It's the total package as a player - the mental/leadership/intangibles as well as what you do on court. And on the former side, he is as weak as a baby. With Curry (willing to take a back seat to him) and everyone (except Draymond) willing to coddle him, he should have stayed with GSW - instead Curry has carried the team (especially game 4) sticking with them through thick and thin and displayed all the leadership skills that KD is lacking.

You forgot to add losing to him head to head in a matchup where the teams were pretty much equal in talent, if not teamwork.

Unfortunately, a person's opinion on LeBron doesn't change literally a single thing I wrote in my post. Those are the factual circumstances of what happened before and after KD's tenure with the Warriors. And I'm talking strictly Durant's all time standing in the sport, I haven't even commented on those Warriors titles, so there's no need to be so defensive :lol
There's a reason that despite having virtually identical production and resumes to Hakeem, Kobe & Curry, those 3 are going to be in top 10 discussions, while KD is going to be a good 5-10 spots behind them. A lot of fans frankly do not take Durant's titles & FMVP's with the Warriors at face value, and it has nothing to do with LeBron. This past Warriors title where Curry destroyed the same Boston team Durant struggled mightily against in a first round sweep was basically the final nail in the coffin on that.
Re: There has never been a more mind****ed ATG player than Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant is a ****ing idiot. Thats it. Because of worrying so much about his legacy, he managed to completely ruin it. Its tragic almost. a self fulfilling prophecy.
Re: There has never been a more mind****ed ATG player than Kevin Durant
Just wait until he rejoins the Warriors
Draymond for KD make it happen :lol

Thats actually the only way in which he can save his legacy. Reverse his Brooklyn decision, admit the mistake he made and finish the job with GSW.
Wiggins, Poole and Wiseman for Durant is a good deal for all sides.
