Ravens sign TJ Housh

This is kind of unexpected, especially considering the Ravens traded for Boldin.

Now they got Mason, Boldin and TJ.

Hurts Derrick Masons value. I hate seeing him back in our division too.

Doesn't make much sense either. Ravens need a speed guy on the outside, Housh is basically a slot receiver now. He could have still had some value somewhere else, but I guess he's relegated himself to being a backup

Still a great signing. If you sign a player like TJ it's a win.. More targets for Flacco is great, that offense is looking scary!

Didn't they not want to sign TO because they got Bouldin, Mason, and Stallworth?

Flacco is set to have a career season. His expectations are high.

As a Bengals fan, this signing has me worried a bit, though I would like to think that when we match up against the Ravens, we know his strengths/weaknesses well enough to limit him.

With as many wideouts as they throw out there, I think we are one of the few teams equipped to stop them. We have great cornerback depth.

Share some of that depth with us

pretty sure they got Housh at minimum which is a bargain. Mason and Boldin can play deep threat. Raven's WR's are stacked tho. really like Mason/Boldin combo. only problem is they have so many weapons on the O so the scoring/looks will probably be pretty spread.

Solid move. Stallworth wont be around for a couple games. D.Mason is long in the tooth. Who knows if a sudden dropoff is around the corner. Guy is 36. Adding a vet like TJ is a very good move to go with Boldin, Heap and Mason. You dont gotta run Rice into the ground and let Flacco let his arm go some.

Hopefully he progresses.

Mason/Boldin are not deep threats.

limits there offense... Housh is basically the same player as Derrick Mason.. and both are a worse version of Boldin... they are all possession Wr's. They needed a MIKE WALLACE type of guy to stretch the field even a scrubby Nate washington would have helped.

but i still think they have one of the best shots at winning the AFC... Flacco, Rice, Boldin, Mason, Housh, Heap great offensive line good defense.

I think they have this division wrapped up now.

while i agree they are the team to beat in the north i dont think this move has anything to do with that. tj is a simply a big name at this point in time and as BB4L doesnt really bring anything new.

Re: Ravens sign TJ Housh

Mason's extremely underrated, and has been for a while. he and Boldin can both get behind defenses. they might not be specialist burners but both are able to get behind CB's, altho Mason is more posession..

i agree that Housh's stock has fallen a lot, but he wasn't ever the greatest athlete more than having amazing hands in Cinci.

either way having all 3, on top of Ray Rice/Mcgahee are some sick weapons. Ravens D helps give them more possessions to score too. just wish i had some RAvens....
