Barbosa: I'm talking to the Lakers, Steve Nash wants me there.
...Steve Nash even texted me because he wants me there.”

He says it would be a cool experience to play alongside Kobe and Nash. Barbosa also mentioned that he wouldn't mind taking the minimum salary in order to win a championship, but it all comes down to the negotiations and the team. He also says he thinks a lot about winning a title, playing in an NBA Finals game.
Barbosa also said he's talking to Brooklyn Nets and Phoenix Suns

Barbosa would be a great addition to the Lakers. They really missed a second wingplayer, besides Kobe, that can create for himself and score last season. Barbosa will get great looks playing with Nash again and can get out on the break. Nash needs to run with good wingplayers, that can knock down an open shot every now and then. Barbosa fits that mold.
Damn.. the Lakers look great, but with Barbosa, will be even better.
Let's see what happens.
Re: Barbosa: I'm talking to the Lakers, Steve Nash wants me there.
The minimum is all he deserves . He's got a "skillset," meaning he can penetrate to the right and maybe get a bucket. But that's about it.
Which is fine. Play him maybe 50ish games in short 3/4 minute get out and run spurts. The guy's not a bum, but he needs his teammates more than his teammates need him.

He wasn't a great fit for your Pacers and I don't know if he will be for the Lakers (under Mike Brown), but Leandro does have a better skillset than what you give him credit for.
True, he's limited.. and he needs to play uptempo ball on a team that runs breaks and gets him open shots to be on his best. So yes, he needs his teammates, but that doesnt take away the fact can be really effective in the right system. That's how he won him the 6th man award in PHX. He's not that far from the player he was back then and I can see him be really valuable if this deal gets done. I might all flop, but who knows. It all depends on the type of style these Lakers will play.

But once the playoffs came and it was the same opponent consecutively he's obviously easy to shut down.
I don't mean to sound like I'm hating on the guy or anything, he's a great off the bounce spark against bench players, he just wasn't able to keep it up in Indy against Miami. No bench instant offense guard is going to look good against Miami. No one's fault or anything, just reality. He'll keep you in a handful of games in the regular season and he'll shoot you out of plenty of games too. I just can't see him adding much to a team come the playoffs.
Re: Barbosa: I'm talking to the Lakers, Steve Nash wants me there.
I don't see it happening, unless they plan to move Kobe to SF for stretches.
They currently have:
CT: Howard/ Hill/ Sacre
PF: Gasol/ Jamison/ Clark
SF: World Peace/ Ebanks
SG: Bryant/ Meeks/ Goudelock
PG: Nash/ Blake/ Duhon/ Morris
That's 15 right there - I know some of those guys are unguaranteed.

Isn't he that super handsome player ?

Oh sorry, you've been on block for a few months. I bet what you had to say was really interesting
Re: Barbosa: I'm talking to the Lakers, Steve Nash wants me there.
He also said in the same interview that the Nets are pushing the hardest to acquire him. Unfortunately the nets are full at the guard position.
Re: Barbosa: I'm talking to the Lakers, Steve Nash wants me there.
Hope Lakers sign Barbosa most likely means goudelock gets cut with Meeks in the mix. Best part about it is less minutes for Blake and Duhon

Barbosa is a nice guy and belongs in the NBA. Hope he signs with Lakers because he can help them while Kobe backs him up.
