That Nets superfan ejected from MSG, he eventually jumped from window, now brain-dead
Evans said that Vanchiro had sustained minor head injuries and sprained his lower back the night he was ejected from Madison Square Garden. A Knicks spokesman that night said that Vanchiro had been warned about unruly behavior before his ejection. Vanchiro said afterward that he had been standing and cheering loudly.
Then, on December 2, after he tried the same thing at Madison Square Garden, he was tossed out. Although reports differ on the details, Gamblero was carried out by Garden security, missing his artificial leg, at one point being dropped on the steps. He was traumatized by the series of events, said those who spoke to him in the aftermath.

effrey Vanchiro, who had gained widespread attention as a colorful and outspoken fan of the Nets, was on a ventilator late Sunday afternoon and was not expected to survive after falling from a second-story window in Flushing, Queens, late on Saturday night.
Vanchiro was staying at his father

Yeah, from jumping out a window at his fathers home.
Thread title implies his removal by security at MSG caused his condition.
Re: Nets superfan who was dragged out of MSG now brain-dead
Added an extra quote, didn't intend to mislead. Wasn't trying to suggest that security got him where he is now, just put that in the title since that's how I think most posters know of him. Apologies for any confusion...

Damn. RIP
Re: That Nets superfan ejected from MSG, he eventually jumped from window, now brain-dead
Report says that he just dozed off and jumped out of a window. That just seems very scary. It's definitely likely that his unfavorable experience at MSG had something to do with his recent behaviors. He was deeply impacted by the way he was treated despite not doing anything other than cheering and it affected his day-to-day activities. RIP Jeffrey and my condolences to the family and friends affected.
Re: That Nets superfan ejected from MSG, he eventually jumped from window, now brain-dead
Really bizarre story, he must have had some ongoing mental problems because I don't think getting tossed out of a basketball game is enough to drive a normal person literally insane, which is basically what the article says.
