Re: Recent purchases..
Most wealthy people don't buy these products. It's usually kids spending their parents money, or posers who want people to think they're rich.
I work with incredibly wealthy people on a daily basis... and they don't stay wealthy by spending $600 on straw shoes.
The illusion that the average wealthy persons blows their money on crap like this comes from television, not reality.
On a serious note, this is true.
I mean I envy someone who could afford to. I wouldn't pay 600 for shoes no matter how much money I had.
Envy his parents. It's their money anyway. :lol

Re: Recent purchases..
I also agree with bdreason

Re: Recent purchases..
So apparently purchasing something of high value is absolutely pointless if it isn't out of necessity. I guess anyone going to the NBA Finals is a fool, just throwing away $1,000-$10,000 on a sporting event ticket
I envy people with rich parents even more, they got money and didn't have to do shit.
It isn't always the blessing that it seems. Got some miserable people out there with wealthy parents.

You're comparing a possibly once in a lifetime sporting event, the result of weeks, months, and even years of passionate fandom and hype, a chance to revel in the glory and joy of your favorite team winning a championship...................... to shoes.
I see your point.

I don't. Those kids tend to have mad trust issues because so many people are friends with them because what they have, not who they are. At least as a broke n*gga, you can be pretty sure that people aren't with you because of what you "have".

It's even more expensive and something that will be worthless after it's done. People go to be able to say "I was there, I'm a better fan than you/I have more money to spend"

Re: Recent purchases..
I didn't think they'd hold up.
A great memory is worth more than a pair of grass shoes.
Oh, actually I retract that. I can't wait to tell my grandkids about the pair of slippers I had back in 2006.
pretty sure i can have both, and fully plan on going to an OKC game if they make the finals.
i fail to see why i'm criticized here

You kicked off the thread with a pair of $600 straw shoes... it was kind of inevitable.

There are at least 10 of these threads from a while back..I just decided to make a new one.
The shoes are overpriced, as are all premier designer lines, but they are absolutely the best money can buy as well.
I thoroughly enjoy clothing, therefore I see how I am in no wrong here.
