1a. Kareem
1b. Magic
3. Kobe
4. West
5. Baylor
Now, if you are talking about total contribution to the Laker organization, then I would move West ahead of Kobe...and maybe even to #1.
1.West (Great player and Executive)
2. Magic/Kobe
3. Kobe/Magic
4. Kareem
5. Shaq
since 1986 lakers had 27 games where one of their players scored 50 points or more and one of those players is responsible 24 of them. ill have him at #1 please. :applause: :applause: :applause:
magic
kareem
shaq
west
kobe
You know what? In addition to West's brilliant play over the course of his career for the Lakers, he won them at least 5 more championships after his playing career ended. If it wasn't for West, the Lakers would never have acquired Shaq OR Kobe.
I'd say that that makes West the greatest Laker ever.

[B]Magic and Shaq called Kobe the greatest Laker of all time.

except that Shaq has 3 "solid" dominant back-2-back-2-back FMVPs as LAL & Kobe dont
Shaq should've had 4 FMVPs had they not played Kobe ball in 2004 NBA Finals.
Shaq still well above Kobe as LAL
Magic still well above Shaq as LAL
Magic & Shaq getting paid millions by TNT to sell modern day garbage NBA to the kids.
They'll say anything to collect their hefty paycheck. specially Shaq who is so bad in front of camera.

5 time Champions are chokers? Wow, I guess I learned something new today.

Hard to argue against that point.
1 Magic
2 KAJ
3 Kobe
4 Shaq
5 Wilt

Do you know who Jerry West is?
It's scary how many all-time greats the Lakers have had.
I mean look, they have had
Guys up for GOAT consideration (KAJ, Wilt)
Another guy generally thought to be top 5 all time (Magic)
Guys often thought to be in the top 10 (Shaq, Kobe)
And then you have guys like West, Baylor, and Mikan who are all really high up there as well. Hell, some have West top 10, and Baylor has to be top 20.
Then you have "lesser" Hall of Famers like James Worthy, Gail Goodrich, Pau Gasol (future HOF'er), etc.
Only other team that has this kind of starpower all time is the Celtics I would imagine.

He's not better as a player as the guys I mentioned...if you include Greatest Laker as a player Executive, West>>>all but I'm only rating players.
Do you think West was a better player than those I listed?
