I really think Hennigan dropped the ball on not picking Exum, those two in the back court would have been special.
Same here. Really liked him next to Oladipo.
gordon was 4-7. not 8-10
I saw Randle, Vonleh and Smart on most peoples mock drafts going higher than him.

Up until probably yesterday that was the case.
There was a lot of rumours going around that a lot of teams had Gordon as their #1 PF on their board. I still had Randle as my #1.

Position wise for sure, but the PF spot isn't stacked in this draft anyway.
Wiggins
Parker
Embiid
Exum
Randle
Vonleh
Smart
were mostly seen as going higher, which puts him at #8
I just don't understand how you could be blown away by a dudes workout, and then reports come out that teams that have higher picks were interested in him also, and then come draft night, the consensus "big 3" are taken and the man you were blown away by is available and you pass on him to draft a guy that was expected to go between 8-10???
yeah I don't know maybe they used that as a smoke screen. Who knows all I can do now is hope he pans out and develops a jump shot or a go to post move. He has the tools to contribute defensively but I was hoping for more than that this year.
also mocks don't really matter regardless.

I agree.
I actually had him mocked at the #8 spot to the Kings
#8. Sacramento Kings

Theres nothing that can be done about it now, but the main reason why I think the gamble would have paid off was because of the 2015 off-season for you guys, you can sign your vet there.
^^^ lucky I didn't bet on it by the way, I'd be even more poorer than what I am at the moment. :oldlol:

:oldlol: good point, other than that shocker tho, most of the other picks were solid in the top 6-7
the only reason i'm disappointed is because all of the reports got me really hyped up. if hennigan saw the opputunity to go for maybe Exum then trade up with AA to get Gordon I feel like he would have. hennigan was tight lipped the whole process obviously. all the reports were bullshit.

Waste of time when it's all said and done, because the draft just happened and all those mocks mean jack shit now.

I picked all the players that went in the lottery to go lottery, and other than the Nick Stauskas pick, none of the picks really shocked me at all.
Usually in a draft you can spot out a couple of players who might bust, but this one it's really hard to do that. I can see everyone being contributors at some point at least.

yeah people were making fun during the week about it not being as deep as people claimed because they didn't think wiggins and parker would be true stars, the depth comes into it when you look at guys all through the top 20 or so picks who can contribute in some way.
