Iran defeated Smart Gilas, 81-68 in the 2010 William Jones Cup.
just saw Phillpines vs. Taipei on Taiwan's ESPN while channel surfing. only caught the overtime period which was pretty wild... PH was leading by 7 pts at one point but Douhit made a critical mistake of pointing finger directly at an official after he got fouled (not sure why he did that really, it was just a good hard foul by TPE...) which game TPE 2 freethrows plus possession.
then ref messed up on the last second though, with about 4 seconds left TPE was down by 3, they did a very poor setup for the final shot and Casio (PH) did a great job stripping the shooter. however he proceed to cup the ball and TRAVELED with about 1 second left on the clock still. TPE should have gotten another possession.
Smart Gilas beat Chinese Taipei, 96-93. Marcus Douhit scored 33 points, and grabbed 22 rebounds.
Japan defeated Smart Gilas, 84-74. Smart Gilas are now 3-2 in the Jones Cup Tournament.
