Right now, who are the top 5 players in the association?
Lebron, Durant, kobe, pick other two
LeBron, Durant, Melo, Kobe, Duncan.
Kobe
Lebron
Durant
Melo
In his 17th season and playing like he was Finals MVP, Kobe is #1 until someone knocks him off. 17 years and nobody has knocked him out.
Durant, Kobe, Melo, LeBron and the fifth spot is up for grabs.
In no order^^
From play this year..
Durant
Lebron
Melo
Westbrook/Parker/Duncan?
Kobe
Carmelo Anthony
Chris Paul
Kevin Durant
Kobe Bryant
LeBron James

Durant
Lebron
Melo

Kobe
If that's in order then you're retarded, he said 5 not... nvm.
Bottom 5 (of Top 10) would be:
Rajon Rondo
Russell Westbrook
Tim Duncan
Tony Parker
Zach Randolph
Lebron
Durant
CP3
Kobe
Melo
did cp3 like die?
clips are 16-6

Not because of him, their bench has done more work lol. Jordan's/Griffin's improvements helped too.
Right now CP3 has the most stacked team from player 2-10.
Top 5 PF, Top 10 C, three 6th man of the year caliber players, hustle guys, shooters, veterans, defenders. Compared to everyone else, he has to do the least amount of work to win.

Didn't realize Jordan had climbed to top 10...he's top 15 at best.
Parker has a top 3 C and a top 5 SG..not playing wellbut he still is. And he's got depth across the board, along with Popovich. Besides, we're not talking about this year. We're talking about overall.

:wtf:
Lebron, Kobe, Durant, Melo, the 5th is a toss up
no particular order, each of these guys can be the best in the league on any given night.

OP said 'right now" so im assuming we're talking about this year
So far:
1. Lebron
2. Durant
3. Kobe
4. CP3
5. Duncan
If Kobe had a good record, I'd put him #1 but he doesn't so...
1) Durant
2) LeBron
3) Kobe
4) Melo
5) CP3
Edit: Totally forgot about Melo lol
Lebron
Durant
Melo
Kobe
Parker
Lebron, Mamba, Durant, Melo, Westbrook

Ah cmon Ginobili is barely Top 10, he has declined. Depth isn't close, Spurs players play so well because of their coach and system, Clippers are just talented. Spurs don't have Bledsoe, Crawford, Odom, Hill, Billups type players on their bench, only Splitter and Manu.
Overall I am still not sold on CP3, he needs to go deep into playoffs first. Westbrook and Durant carried OKC much farther with less help last year. If CP3 can't even make it to WCF with THIS roster, there will be no more excuses. He is not the unanimous "Best PG" anymore, not with Westbrook and Rondo improving and stepping their game up in the playoffs.
Can't really say Paul's not a top 5 player because his team is stacked. Where was this argument being used when LeBron went to Miami?

Is Paul replicating Lebrons year in, year out monster stats on great efficiency?
Lebron
Durant
Kobe

Miami was basically like current Lakers, 3 all stars but no real bench. Clippers currently have it all, no weaknesses. I still have no idea how they accomplished this with cap space.
Is Paul replicating Lebrons year in, year out monster stats on great efficiency?
What do former years have to do with this one? Paul is doing 16/9/4, picking up 2.2 steals per game while holding an efficiency rating of + 22.64... in 33 minutes per. The results of his labor more than represent themselves.

Mike Miller, Chalmers, and Haslem are suddenly not quality bench players?
Melo
Durant
Lebron
Paul
Rondo
Mike Miller, Chalmers, and Haslem are suddenly not quality bench players?
No they aren't. They are ok role players, but not quality.

I said my reply supporting Lebron on why he is in the top 5 yearly even though he is in a stacked team (moreso in previous years).
Arguably Rondo, Parker, Duncan and Paul can all claim for that 5th spot. :confusedshrug:
lebron kobe durant melo
zbo/cp3/one of parker/duncan

People aren't smart enough to realize that Paul's numbers are down as a result of him only playing 33 mpg, so they assume that since his numbers are down he's somehow playing worse.

So, Duncan is averaging in 30.5 mpg:
17.9 pts / 10.4 rebs / 2.5 asst / 2.6 blks 51.5%FG 78.4%FT
Last night vs UTA in 33 minutes: 22 pts / 21 rebs / 6 blks
Don't expect him to keep this up for an 82 game season, but talk about turning back the clock.
No they aren't. They are ok role players, but not quality.
If those guys are "role players", then Barnes, Odom, Turiaf, Hill, and Green can't be any better. I know the Lakers would swap Jamison, Blake, and Meeks for those three in a second.

His averages are similar to last year's (where he finished 3rd in MVP voting), so what's changed?

Melo and Kobe are playing better this year than the last? The you come to the CP3/TP/TD/ZBo/Rondo arguement for 5th, which can go either way depending on person.
LeBron among the top 4 (LeBron, Kobe, Durant, Carmelo) is the only non-ballhogger. Wow!
LeBron among the top 4 (LeBron, Kobe, Durant, Carmelo) is the only non-ballhogger. Wow!
Durant, who is team mates with Russell Westbrook, is a ball hogger? Well thats news to me.
Melo has been top 5 this year.. Remember pre season espn ranked him 17th? :oldlol:

doesn't change the fact they arent more than ok role players.
Davis is close.
