Favorite Book?

What is your favorite book/novel?

Mine would have to be 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' by Khaled Hosseini. Absolutely beautiful novel about woman in Afghanistan and their plights. I definitely recommend it.

Re: Favorite Book?

America (the book)
Everything Scott Adams has ever written
Dave Barry's computer book. Also "Hits below the beltway." And his two novels.
Harry Potter

I read serious books too but I never can put one into the upper echelon of favorites. Same goes for movies.

As far as nonfic goes the best books I've read on those in a long time are "A short history of nearly everything" and "Blink." Check em out. If you're into Math but not too heavily, check out "Zero: The biography of a dangerous idea." I say that becaues if you're too heavily involved with math, as in a math major, you probably already know everything in it already.

The Stand- Stephen King. As far as stand alone books go. I'm more into series though in the fiction category.

I badly want to read that someday.

I believe Kwajo might have read it. This topic comes up quite often and I know he's read a few long ass books like this.
