Droth, Im very sorry that you must experience these things at a young age. This experience will allow you to think more about things, and if you believe in God, get closer to him. Through the prayers and intercessions of St Mary, and all the saints, God's will shall be revealed.
My prayers and best wishes go your way droth. But you will overcome and you will be a stronger person because of it. Keep positive and fight through it. You always got us here to talk Lakers and take your mind off things.
I hope you are able to remain strong and overcome. Best of luck to you.
I hope you know we are there for you to share with us as you go through this.

Hey buddy, I certainly will be praying for you.
Know that all the great folks of this world went through some crazy level of adversity. Some may argue that they didn't succeed despite the adversity as they succeeded because of this adversity.
I can't wait till you get well and all these little petty stresses us regular people feel will be absolutely nothing for you.
Your body may be compromised a bit, but your mind is free, so use this time to read all you can and build your knowledge base and plan your future in whatever it is you want to master/be the best at for the rest of your life.
Good luck!
dang , im so sorry bro... ima pray for you..
Droth24 you need to remember that cancer is a word - it is NOT a sentence.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Stay strong and as Winston Churchill said "When you are in Hell - keep going, don't stop".
You are definitely in my prayers! Please hang around here as much as you feel like you can and keep us up to date on how you are doing.
God bless!!!!

Remember the brain is very powerful. It's starts up there and you have to try to stay positive.
You can will your way through tough times . .
Just beat the damn thing. You got a full life ahead of you that you have to defend and nothing is going to take it from you.
:(
best of luck to you bro, stay strong.
Thanks everybody for the prayers! i just got back from my first chemo treatment and the dr. got all of my tests back and said they all came back actually better than he excpected. ill be on chemo for a few months to make me a surgery canidate and then they are going to cutall of this shit out of me. my dr. said i may be the only documented case of this cancer progressing this much this young. so there is no real prognosis because there is nothing to base it off. but its looking very good since i have my youth and i am in really good shape. Time to kick cancers ass.

Praying for you bro! You can beat it!
My mother and Grandmother both got diagnose with cancer a year a part a couple of years back. And both of them now are cancer free and are healthy today!!! God bless you will be in my prayers!!! You can beat it!!!
I wish you the best, it's sad to see something like this happen to anyone. You sound like you have the right attitude and that's a huge part of beating something like this. Hopefully it turns out well.
I am sure you will be alright, and you will look back 20 years from now proud of how you were able to get through it. It will be tough couple years from now while chemotherapy is going. You will stumble along the way, be frustrated and even be angry at times, but I am sure if you keep your mind strong, you will get through it. Just focus on a day at a time and one chemotherapy session at a time.
What year of highschool are you in? My guess is senior year at 17 (I graduated at 18). If you have to, you can always start college a couple years later than normal and just think about relaxing while chemotherapy is going (of course, college work will help take your mind off the chemotherapy; everyone handles things differently so I dunno about you). You can always start off on a fairly easy course load; I suggest part-time college (8-9 credits). You will have enough work to keep your mind focused on something other than the chemotherapy/cancer but not enough for the work to become a burden.
Anyways, keep us updated on how it is going. It is OK to be nervous and even disappointed somewhat, but it is how you deal with it starting this day forth. Leave the disappointment/upset feelings aside, and keep up the "I am going to tackle this down the NFL way." Put all of your feelings, emotion and everything you can draw from your inner-being into the fight. I am sure you will get through.
Keep up the positive thinking.
Something I learned from oncology, parasitology, and toxicology classes that might help you later in in life is to stay away from hardcore sushi or anything not fully cooked in general if one has weaker GI system. The cooking detox/neutralize/denature most toxins released from those living organisms defense mechanism.
That's horrible to hear man. I hope you get better.

I'm praying for you.
Colon cancer runs in my family, I'm shocked that you got it so young, my doctors had told me that it usually didn't develop until 50 or so. I elected to have the endangered part of my color removed while I was younger and was able to recover quickly.

Yeah the doctor was like talking about how to treat it according to textbook but he said they couldn't go off of that because this case is so unheard of. The reason that it had developed so early is because i have classic familal polyposis, which is also very rare, especially considering the gene mutation does not run in my family.
Hey man, just thinking about your brother, hope your doing well, and fighting hard!
Oh wow! I'm sending positive energy your way now! You can beat this man! Just keep on posting on insidehoops and keep your real friends close and nothing can stop you! If you ever need to talk man just send me a message I'll be there for you.
