Depends on what team, best FIBA teams could compeat with best NBA teams ( USA with their all star team had a lot of problems against Spain so you can imagine what would happen if SPain played against Bobcats, Wizards or some othere bad NBA team ) but problem is that in last few years a lot of good players aren't playing for their NTs.
