That song is actually not that bad.
it's one thing to mess around with music as a little side hobby, but another thing to have a successful and full-time devoted career in it.
wayman tisdale actually had a career in music after playing sports. his jazz album was even #1 on the billboards charts. might even say his music career was more successful than his basketball career.
I also remember Kenny Smith trying to freestyle rap (and failing miserably) on BET.
Kobe tried to act hard more like a poor men will smith lololololololololollol:lol :oldlol:   :applause:
Allen Iverson is sick bro Biggie Smalls of the nba rappers

Would you really call some of those guys "musicians"? I mean, Ron Artest's album sounded like complete shit, anyone with the right equipment and some money could do that.
Pau Gasol plays classical piano.
I know that Shaq, Kobe, and Artest have put out rap albums. Anybody else?
I don't know man, but calling them musicians seems like a bridge too far.
Grant Hill plays jazz piano. I saw him on Letterman once and he's no slouch.
Matt Bullard (3-point specialist for the Rockets back in the 90s) is a pretty decent drummer.
NBA players who are also musicians...should just play ball, especially the rappers.
Oooh please, rappers aren't musicians.
Oooh please, rappers aren't musicians.
There are some that are...
but most of them are trash.

Ok I'll admit there are rappers who are good musicians, like Wyclef, but I just didn't like how it was perpetuated that if one is a rapper that makes them a musician also.

you arent even a musician if you don't play a damn instrument.
you arent even a musician if you don't play a damn instrument.
wrong.
anyone who is composes, writes, arrange, and perform music... is generally called musicians.
but then again "the musicians" we are are the quality ones.

Rappers aren't musicians.
Rappers aren't musicians.
If a songwriter can be considered a musician, I don't see why a rapper can't be either. And I'm not talking about crap like Soulja Boy or Hurricane Chris.
I think it's pretty close-minded to say that only people who can play instruments are considered 'musicians'.
David Robinson can play the saxophone and piano.

John Amaechi - Skin Flute
I kind of remember Tariq Abdul Wahad (or Olivier Saint Jean) played the acoustic guitar well enough to release an album.
I'm fairly certain Brian Williams/Bison Dele was, I know his father was Eugene Williams from The Platters.

Oh, please. Most rappers steal beats, they don't compose shhhit. Only guys like Wyclef and Andre 3000 compose their own music/beats.
I'll say that most rappers are writers and lyricists. But not musicians.

Actually most rappers are just rappers. Some write their own lyrics and are songwriters. The rappers that sample beats are producers, and producers are most definitely musicians.

Rapping doesn't make someone a musician.
I'm not understanding this standpoint at all. Why arent they musicians?
They often don;t play an instrument, can;t read music and steal their songs. If you can make your whole song on a computer by sampling beats, you're not a musician.
In a band? You're a musician.
Can read music and sing like Celine? I consider you a musician.
In an orchestra? You're a musician
