Tony Parker making his case again tonight without Duncan...
Iverson missed 11 games in 2001 and still won mvp.
CP3 is not better than LeBron and Durant.

And Iverson was not better than Shaq, Kobe, Duncan. CP3 has a chance still, just a very small one.

31/5/8 and a road W with his 2nd best player being Kawhi Leonard. :applause:

Iverson was probably better than Kobe those early Kobe years.

TP9 deserves a spot in the All NBA First Team, if the Spurs finish with a top 1-2 record in the Western Conference.

In 01? Nope.

Allen Iverson 2001:
31 ppg @ 42/32/81
4 rpg
5 apg
3 spg
Led the league in scoring & steals... won the MVP by taking a much worse team to the same record (56-26) as Kobe did (or excuse me, as Shaq did) and took them even to the Finals.... averaged 33-5-6 in the playoffs....
I would say its not so mind-boggling to think he just might have been better than Kobe in 01......
Iverson was better than Kobe in 2001. He wasn't better than Shaq though (the real MVP).

Iverson had the better regular season and an MVP-caliber regular season unlike Kobe, but he was certainly not a better player. Kobe could score at least as well, and did everything else better.
It should be Durant. OKC is doing better, against much better competition. Miami has actually been a bit disappointing, though I'm sure the playoffs will be a different story.
I hope Parker gets some votes. I like how the MVP has been the "best player in the best team award" ... except when the best team is the Spurs.

Miami has a better record against the West than the Thunder...
Why not MVP for the division , conference and league ? :confusedshrug: :confusedshrug:
I'm fine with either LeBron or Durant winning it, with Parker in the top 5 and Duncan in the top 10. Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony should receive votes but aren't a legitimate threat to ultimately get the award.
