Why didn't NBA MVP do shit in the second league of Europe?
Why didn't NBA MVP do shit in the second league of Europe?
that was a zombie for AI.
When we had a good player in his prime, he broke the scoring record and the team retired his jersey after 1 month.
Anthony Parker became a role player months after he won the Euroleague MVP.
That is the difference.
Why didn't NBA MVP do shit in the second league of Europe?
Probably for the same reason why he can't really get a job playing in any major basketball league.
He's broken down.
Also broke, but that's irrelevant.
cause the euroleague is nowhere near the NBA in terms of talent pool
Candace Parker > Anthony Parker
Candace Parker > Anthony Parker
This.

Deron Williams NEVER played a Euroleague game in his life.
Anthony Parker won Euroleague MVP averaging 15 points a game. The next season he averaged 15 points a game in the NBA playoffs.
You are a LIAR.
I feel sorry for you Nba only fans because you are missing great basketball . I think Euroleague is better than Nba but that doesnt stop me from watching some Nba games . When I watch players playing great or doing a great move I never think aboute the league they play ( but when I wach Nba I do compare rules ) , I just admire the things I seen on the court . So what if Rose , Lebron , Kobe or Durant did some great move that would be travelling in Europe , they dont play there and its still a good move . The fans that only watch Nba , think good basketball is played only in Nba and that othere leagues are very bad dont know nothing aboute basketball .

Don't feel sorry for the NBA only fans my friend. They are NOT real basketball fans. They are just that - NBA ONLY fans. They know NOTHING about basketball and they are a blight on the sport and its real fans everywhere.
its easy to be mvp when youre against a bunch of nobody scrubs who'll get their asses kicked by americans come olympic time. even though theyve been playing together for years and team u.s.a. will have a few weeks practice. itll be comical.
Prime Anthony Parker wouldn't even be the best player in college basketball, yet he was a Euroleague MVP.
:applause:

Haha exactly. Didn't the US just wipe the floor with that overseas talent a few years ago? Our C-team of Igoudala, Odom, and Gay was too much for them :oldlol:

That's freaking hilarious since,
1. Team USA has a longer prep time every summer than most other national teams and,
2. Team USA has NEVER faced a Team Europe (which is what you FALSELY imply by linking it to the Euroleague).
3. Team USA's core has been one of the longest tenured groups of all national teams in the WORLD, with core players being there since 2004/2006, and this according to you is "a few weeks".
4. Many other national teams switch out 5-8/9 players a tournament, and this you claim is "being together for years".
Yeah, you are nothing but a liar.
Haha exactly. Didn't the US just wipe the floor with that overseas talent a few years ago?
USA has never once beaten Europe. They have won and lost to single countries from Europe. The Euroleague is comprised of top players from EUROPE, not single countries.
Team USA would get demolished against an actual European wide team.

usa with a GOAT lineup almost lost to spain :hammerhead:
Euroleague just wondering, do you like anything associated with the NBA?
Some guys can't translate. They're two different games.
Now no doubt if you had a mass migration you'd be safe betting that more NBA players will translate than coming back the other way. Much as Euroleague likes to poo poo this notion, the NBA is the best collection of basketball talent in the world, bar none.
BUT you can't point to certain players as an example because it's just like coming out of college, some guys won't translate, different ga,e

Do they keep a stat for almost winning now? What site can I find the almost winning pct. of olympic teams against the U.S.? Which country do you think has the highest almost winning pct. against the U.S.
Euroleague just wondering, do you like anything associated with the NBA?
Yes. I like certain players of course. I used to really love the NBA from the 80s to mid 90s era.
The NBA of today though is really hard to like. With the rigged games EVERY year, endless "superstar" calls to so many players, endless trash gimmicks and marketing, the racism it clearly shows, the constant attacks on all the other basketball leagues, like always bashing European basketball...........
ridiculous rules, etc.
The NBA was once great, but it has turned into something that is pretty damn embarrassing.

Go ahead and find the site where it lists the box scores of when Team USA ever beat Team Europe. Good luck.
haha;)
@euroleague: dude ur a big hater, but sometimes u say true words...
...
anyway... nba is the strongest league in the world and of course more talented.(no doubt)
but european basketball is not that bad.
i mean seriously... a lot of u guys dont know anything about basketball in other countries. u shouldnt talk if u have no idea.
and in fact. a lot of europeans think americans are ignorant. i guess americans are famous for ignorance in the world.
maybe because of ur kardashian reality show? judging people in tv shows... come on, get real. they show u some scenes and u think u know everything about em :lol
Go ahead and find the site where it lists the box scores of when Team USA ever beat Team Europe. Good luck.
That's like saying go ahead and find the site that lists the box scores of Michael Jordan ever beating Ricky Rubio. :lol
This thread was about AP now its another subject.
Can you people please stop acting like idiots?
Anthony Parker won the Euroleage MVP because its such a narrow pool of players/games. The Euroleague is a collection of teams from multiple leagues through Europe.
Saying that Europe or the Euroleage sucks because Anthony Parker won and is an average at best NBA player is just as stupid as saying the NCAA or the ACC sucks because Sean May won Most Outstanding Player for the NCAA Tournament (2005) and he stunk in the NBA.

Why would I watch a league that is far inferior to the NBA in terms of talent?

Silk, me and you have had our differences in the past and prolly will again in the future but I agree 100% with you on this one.
NBA>>>>>Euro(trash)league.
I've seen some of their games and it's good if you want to fall asleep next time you have trouble sleeping:sleeping

This is a stupid post. It's not U.S.A. v Europe. It's the NBA v. European leagues.
So if you want to amend your statement to an NBA wide team would get demolished then you can.... and then we'll all laugh at you.
Ok, if you say so :oldlol: :oldlol: :oldlol:
He has an excellent point there. A team of ALL Europe would be more comparable to United States team.

The point was, they almost lost to SPAIN. How big is Spain compared to the US ???
Spain = 46 million people
U.S. = 305 million people.
That's not an entirely comparable pool of talent to use. :facepalm

Calderon
Rubio
Batum
Dirk
Gasol
You know I love AP but he is nothing more than a 3 point shooter, Euroleague is a completely different style.

:wtf:
I don't get that argument at all. Yeah and Spain shits on the U.S. in soccer. What does the total population of the country have to do with it's ability in specific sports? You should look at the population of the particular sport community in said country, good luck finding that stat. I mean if you're comparing like the Vatican City or some shit fine... but no... just no.
Calderon

Spain had Rudy Fernandez and Luis Scola when they almost handed Team U.S.A. their ass, and a 17-year old Rubio. I believe Marc Gasol as well. Throw Pau in there too. Spain alone has a formidable team....Now take the best from the next best countries like Dirk from Germany and lump them together.

Scola plays/played for Argentina with Ginobli

Scola the Argentinian player played for Spain?
Interesting.

Yes.....just Yes....it's a GENETIC gene pool....it's like Class sports based on population....more people = more breeding of the finer athletes.
What are your chances of pulling out superior athletes out of 46 million people as opposed to 305 million?? :hammerhead:
That's like the NBA just drafting players from the West Coast.....not even close.
