This myth needs to stop about LeBron's squads in Cleveland. Did he have a superstar co runner? No, but he had well custom built teams with appropriate pieces that fit LeBron's game, stregnths and playing style. Winning 60+ in back to back seasons wasn't just all because of LeBron.
Also, who knows how well that 2010 Cavs team does if LeBron doesn't visibly quit and pout, in an odd turn of events after game 3 vs Boston. Who knows what they're capabilities were. The point is that LeBron didn't compete to the best of his abilities. Look at the 2012 Heat. They were worse talent wise and health wise than the 2011 Heat. And IMO faced a superior Finals opponent, and a better Confrence Finals opponent. What was the difference? Bron tried. In 2011, he gave up in the Finals and went into full Casper mode.

Ne 1, you never answered my question earlier.

That was all because of lebron.
Yes you are right that team was custom built to maximize lebron's strengths which is basically everything.Problem with that team is that it maximized lebron not winning ways.Nobody was able to create his shot.Everything depended on lebron.Even when he didnt have the ball he was the facilitator by occupying two guys. That has never worked in NBA never will.MJ couldnt LJ couldnt Wilt couldnt Kobe couldnt. You have to have 2nd option that can create his shots.Even in dallas case, jason terry was able to create his shot.Thats very important in crunch time.Even detroit they had billups and r.wallace even rip they could create a shot.
Re: Who Are The Biggest Empty Stats Players Of All Time
Jerry Lucas
Elvin Hayes
Bob McAdoo
Artis Gilmore
Walt Bellamy
All obviously great players, but not as good as their numbers would lead you to believe.
Re: Who Are The Biggest Empty Stats Players Of All Time
Corey Maggette
Orlando Woolridge
Andrea Bargnani
I don't know why LeBron was brought up. Say what you want about him, but he's only missed the playoffs twice in his career, and that was his first 2 years in the league.

Win shares don't need any player to give them a bad name.

Re: Who Are The Biggest Empty Stats Players Of All Time
looks like you forgot oscar robertson who plays the same as lebron. How about players like arenas and AI
Re: Who Are The Biggest Empty Stats Players Of All Time
LeBron's offensive rating this year is 125. Knicksman on suicide watch since he only cares about offensive rating.
Re: Who Are The Biggest Empty Stats Players Of All Time
The only time I consider someone putting up empty stats is when the game is clearly over and they start jacking shots or going hard after rebounds and things of that nature. Being on a crap team does not make your stats empty if you are keeping your team in games/ giving them a shot of winning.

Elton Brand comes to mind from his clipper days.

Watch the 2006 playoff and you will think otherwise, dude carried the Clippers and they just lost 4-3 to the Suns in conference semi's.
25.4ppg (55%), 10.3rpg 4apg and 2.6spg is not stat padding its call playing out of your mind and leading your team to a 4-1 first round serious win and coming so close to beating that Suns team which was beastly at the time.
