Ben Gordon

it looks liike the bulls are gonna move gordon.
Do you think he could be an answer for us at the 2g?

We'd probably wouldn't have to give up too much for him.
Maybe parker, and a first rounder.

I think bulls have a lot of other options... even a few hot shots such as kevin martin, rudy fernandez or leon powe...

The Bulls have zero chance at getting Martin for Gordon.

I think we offer Bargs for him. I think Bargs qualifying offer is like $8 mill, since he's the #1 overall pick. Way too high. I'd rather spend that kind of money on Gordon and get more mins for Hump, who is a 1000 times better rebounder then Bargs.

Maybe we should just wait and see if Bargs plays well this year.

I wouldnt want Ben Gorden, another undersized, streak shooter gaurd on our team is not what we need.

All of our attention should be on acquiring Mike Miller. ( as others on here have stated).

Re: Ben Gordon

I would definitely prefer Miller to Gordon, but Miller is not being shopped.
But I think we should be patient and try and get a bigger guard too. See how bargs meshes in the first 15 games and then try and make a big play for miller or maybe one of portland's 2-3's. They have a lot of depth there and Bargs would probably fit well for that team.

I would welcome swapping Bargs (and filler) for Gordon, and then getting a free agent center or something to round out the big man roster, except that would put us over the cap for sure.

Seriously though, if we can get Gordon and only give up Bargs or Kapono plus a pick, we should do it. Ben won the 6th Man award in his rookie season, and he would be a great 6th man for us. Far better than Bargs or Kapono are going to be.

As for Mike Miller, what do we have that the T-Wolves would want? This is the price you pay for squandering like 4 drafts in a row, you end up with no trade assets.

Re: Ben Gordon

Gordon isn't ideal, but we have NO perimiter players who can create. Gordon could still come off the pine for us. He's super athletic, plays way taller then he is. Can fill in a PG at times. I think it's crazy to not take on a guy like that if the price wasn't too high. Let's not be too picky here.

Agree.. don't be too picky guys, he can be a RIP-type of player

Very difficult to get him tho, IMO.

- Small cap relief (Parker)
- Future 1st round picks
- Bargnani's potential (although with Jefferson and Love already there, that might not mean much to Minnesota)
- And since it is McHale and Babcock, maybe they'd be stupid enough to take Kapono's contract.

Mike Miller will be shopped at the deadline though.

As for Gordon? I'd prefer to keep Parker around and try to dump Kapono in any Gordon trade. I am not a Ben Gordon fan whatsoever but I guess he is a young talent and the Raptors can use that in any form.

Re: Ben Gordon

Bargs in theory would compliment Jefferson and Love, but I guess the same could be said about him with JO and Bosh. Parker's deal, Bargs for Mike Miller and even a garbage contract like Madsen or Cardinal (both expire when JO does anyway).

We also have a 0.000001% chance of getting Richardson.

I really dont wanan give too much for Gordon, im not into gordon that much...

I mean if we could get him for like Bargs (which i don't wanna give away to early).. then it would be a good deal.
