Chad Hartman's decision means new voice for Wolves
Minneapolis Star Tribune, aug. 31:
Chad Hartman admits it wasn't an easy choice, but after weighing his options he has come to the decision that most expected: He will remain as a talk-show host on KFAN and give up his job as the Timberwolves' play-by-play voice.
The Wolves, anticipating this was coming, have been talking to a short list of potential candidates that is believed to include Brian Sieman, Andrew Monaco and Craig Ackerman. All three do play-by-play of WNBA teams. Sieman has called Lynx games on radio for five seasons, while Monaco works for the San Antonio Silver Stars and Ackerman is the voice of the Houston Comets. Monaco and Ackerman also have roles in the NBA broadcasts of the Spurs and Rockets, respectively.
