Always been wondering this?
Staples Center is the home of the Clippers and Lakers ..so how do they even make
that work? Do they play in 2 different courts in the arena ..or do they switch around the designs every game. I just dont get it? And would L.A people be fans of both teams just more a fan of the team that is doing sucessfull? Please help me solve this dilemma ive been wondering for about a year now :banghead: |
Re: Always been wondering this?
I believe the courts are removable, so whenever the teams switch, they remove the laker/clipper court, and lay out the other one. I dont think it's that hard of a job. i just wonder where they put the court when they're not using it haha

Re: Always been wondering this?
You do realize that Staples Center is also home to the Los Angeles Kings, Sparks and Avengers? Along with being the home of many concerts and has hosted a couple of WWE events.
The courts are easily removeable, and put together in a utility room in the back. Putting them on and taking them off is easy, but making sure that the ice from the rink doesn't get warm enough to dry and effect the court is a tough job to do. |
Re: Always been wondering this?
yeah i know that but the question is? why do they have 2 teams in the same league
play in the same arena and same city? how do you balance out the fans and if they were in a playoff series theyd just be in L.A the whole time but theyd have too switch around the hardwood |
