What must the Spurs do to stay on top for years?
What should the Spurs do to make sure that they're still a team on top in 2 years, 3-4 years
|
I think the Spurs should start getting more young players and draft picks. I think they should keep taking chances on young guys, example Butler and see if they pan out. They will be tempted to trade for a veteran or 2 at the deadline, but they should think about the future also.

the spurs will make another run next year and one after that but they need to find a replacement for duncan in a few more years.

Make sure Tim Duncan doesn't get hurt.
|
Tim Duncan...I'm afraid the guy is on the decline. I hope the guy can keep his conditioning up so he can remain great for years to come.
|
don't be too reluctant to make changes when needed. TD is on the decline. TP and Manu will may suffer as more attention is put on them

yeah hes on the decline. but being on the decline doesnt mean you cant still play great games or contribute...it just means youre body is starting to break down and you have to us your brains more. look at shaq...he's on the decline at yet he was able to do his part to get Miami a championship.

true enough, however the coaching staff is great @ handleing older players. look @ how they extended david robinsons career. a player like tim has the "presence" that will keep him on the floor even with a reduced role in the offense. |
