Remember when I said Balkman>Kleiza?

Balkman is getting a double double pretty much every time he plays! Pretty neat huh?

Oh hey how you doin Kleiza? Still cant hit those 3s huh? Well keep working, you'll get through that mini-slump in a few more years.

When LK is hot he's as tough as anyone to guard, he really has a lot of great slashing moves and a good midrange game, the only problem is he rarely ever gets hot this season compared to last where you could count on him to make open shots.

Balkman is a beast on the boards, though, which is exactly what the nuggets need right now (offensively and defensively). I'd give LK a DNP once kmart comes back just to see how Balkman does with the same minutes as him.

Furthermore, I can't believe we didn't do the Kleiza for David Lee deal. The next time LK gets brought up in trade rumors, we better do it. Everyone seemingly loves him and offers good pieces for him.

1-carmelo
2-nene
3-billups
4-kmart/JR

6-kleiza
7-balkman

I still don't see why the best players don't play with each other more

good work, Balkman is a unique talent. The ability to see his talent takes a little work. Some people only care a bout scorers. I hope balk does something special in the playoffs. I want him back on the fcking Knicks.

Good place for him. Hell, anywhere is better than on this team. Think how much better we would be if we DIDN't have him out there eating up minutes throwing bricks and bad passes and running like a turtle.

You know what, I wonder what would have happened if we traded Kleiza and Najera last year for Artest.

Considering Kleiza is done as a Nugget, damn he cant shoot saving his life, and Najera is now with the Nets.

Re: Remember when I said Balkman>Kleiza?

Forward Linas Kleiza will consider returning to the Nuggets next season on a one-year contract, enabling him to become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2010. Money is expected to be tight in the NBA this summer, when Kleiza will be a restricted free agent. He acknowledged one option is to return to the Nuggets for the $2.7 million qualifying offer and then become unrestricted in 2010 when the economy could be better and more teams are expected to have salary-cap money. InDenverTimes

Kleiza is right that the Nuggets arenít going to let him become unrestricted this summer. An NBA source with direct knowledge of the situation said Denver will exercise the $2.7 million qualifying offer, which is the amount stipulated in Kleizaís rookie-scale contract and which would enable the Nuggets to keep his restricted status.
