Cavs - Hawks trade Idea
 

Read this on another board and went over really well for fans of both sides.

Larry Hughes

For

#5 Pick or (S+T) Al Harrington
Childress

Atlanta fans liked it because they though the idea of Hughes and Joe Johnson would be a great combo. Niether are true point gaurds but both can play the point.


Cavs get either Harrington or the Number 5 pick and Childress who is a great shooter.

What do you guys think.

Al Harrington for Larry Hughes?

I wouldn't do that if I were the Hawks because Hughes hasn't shown that he can be a consistent ballhandler.

Hopefully if Harrington gets traded, he can bring back a big or ballhandler in return.

i wouldnt trade harrington for that deal....its not worth it for ATL

he did nothin in the playoffs

I think Harrington should be traded for draft picks.

Cut him some slack, his brother died right in the middle of playoffs.

I can't disagree that JJ and Hughes would make an exciting tandem... But seriously, it is not a problem-solver for the Hawks and they need to address other positions (bigs) and if there is ever going to happen' S&T deal with Harrington, Hawks should use it to land a veteran PF or a C...

I would not acept. Because the number 5 pick may be giving away too much. Also because Larry Hughes is just coming off that injury that sidelined him for couple games last season.
