Re: LeBron James' buzzer-beating shot over Turkoglu to win Cavs-Magic Game 2
Not in the Conference Finals. 3 teams came back from an 0-2 deficit, but they didn't have homecourt ('71 Bullets, '93 Bulls and '07 Cavs).
I didn't think so.
HCA is way different in my opinion, because you are losing the first two games at home, and then playing the next two games on the road.
I could see a team losing the first two games on the road, and then still winning the series.

I wouldn't go as far as to call him a "fan" though.

How does that statement justify him being a fan at all?
If anything it seems that he is saying the moment was surreal and unexpected.

Mavs back in 05 I think  . They faced the Rockets.

Re: LeBron James' buzzer-beating shot over Turkoglu to win Cavs-Magic Game 2
What were they doing with someone guarding the inbound pass? Get two players on the best player on the court.
-
Re: LeBron James' buzzer-beating shot over Turkoglu to win Cavs-Magic Game 2
I was psyched for the Magic that they had come back from way behind AGAIN and looked like they were going to go up 2-0. I love their style of play, where no lead is ever safe against them because of the instant offense they can create. Not to mention they refused to fold in what has been the toughest building to play in (as a road team) this season.
But ****, give Lebron credit. That was an amazing shot! I'm still in shock that he was able to make it, under all of that pressure. Let's face it, the Cavs were looking dead in the water in this series if he had missed it. Now, who knows?

Re: The Shot
Lebron ISN'T clutch though. He made one shot. He was horrible in the fourth, going 1-5 and 3 turnovers. There's a reason the Magic took the lead near the end. He was quiet in the fourth last game too, just let the Magic take over and steal a game.
Great shot, but nothing like Jordan's which was a series winner in a do or die game. If Cavs don't win this series (very likely), no one is remembering that shot (just like Kobe's against the Suns).
If one shot defines clutchness (after a horrible fourth quarter), then I guess Glen Davis is the second clutchest player in the league? :confusedshrug:
You consistently have the worsts posts on ISH. He had 10 points last game in the 4th, and has been one of, if not THE most clutch players in the post-season as well as the regular season the past 4 years.

I was there and omg the place went beserk. I have no voice right now cuz all the yelling. I witnessed history. Oh yea to the people saying jordans shot was better I will not disagree....BUT lebron had to catch and shoot jordan had time to actually dribble and shoot...jordans shot was in 1st round this one is conference finals....jus sayin my piece.

Re: LeBron James' buzzer-beating shot over Turkoglu to win Cavs-Magic Game 2
some thoughts on orlando's final play (Hedo's shot from the free throw line):
1. partly blame on Cleveland. You are going to let Pavlovic guard Hedo one on one? There is a reason why Hedo has led the team in 4th quarter scoring. If cleveland had done their research, they would have put an extra man on Hedo to force another guy to shoot the ball.
2. i don't think it really matters anyways, because Hedo already penetrated in the basket, and if he didn't have a good shot, he could have either kicked it out for another 3, or dumped it inside to Howard or something.
3. Great shot by Hedo. Couldn't have asked for a better shot from him.
some thoughts on cleveland's final play (Bron's miraculous shot):
1. I agree with the above poster. lax D on the inbound passer was not good. you can have the guy play off the passer, but at least distract his view somewhat.
2. Orlando knew that ball was going to Bron. Should have put multiple guys on Bron. We all know Hedo isn't the best at "shut down" defense.
3. Great shot by Bron. Couldn't have asked for a better shot from him.
4. Hedo did the best he could on Bron. couldn't have asked for anything better to distract bron's jumper. maybe he could have jumped with him, but that would risk the foul.
The final 30 seconds of this game could have went either way. Pavlovic was really the goat of the last 30 seconds, with this foul, giving Orlando the ball with the shot clock off, and giving up the shot to Hedo. Kinda takes away his solid bench performance tonight.

definitely the biggest shot in lebrons career and probably in cavs history. close to top 10 playoff game winners of all time. they need to win this series for it to be really remembered though.
i watched this at a bar and everyone was in awe of the two clutch shots at the end.

People were actually leaving? Wow, it's fans like that that don't deserve to go to games. Then again, those are probably the same people who don't even know the Cavaliers starting five other than LeBron.

Re: The Shot
This should've ended the thread. Best in the final 5 minutes of close games the last 2 seasons, most GWs in the regular season and now most GWs in the playoffs too. His conversion rate on GW shots in the postseason is an unreal 5-9. Yep, not clutch.
And if Cleveland wins series, this is easily one of the 5 biggest shots in league history. Down 2, season on the line, 1 second left, and he wins it with a very well contested 3 from 3 feet behind the line. A shot doesn't get bigger and more clutch than that.
I don't know where the myth that Lebron isn't clutch comes from. I guess the people that think Lberon isn't clutch are only talking about buzzer beaters. There is a reason the Cavs were/have been I think tops in close games over the past few seasons. Did anyone see his crunch time production on 82games? Noone comes close to producing what he produces..
http://www.82games.com/0809/CSORT11.HTM
The thing about buzzer beaters is that you have to have the right amount of clock time and game score situation for the buzzer beating oppurtunity to even take place.
omg, ok i know its just a game and i know im just a fan (not actually playing) but i think i really hate this LeBron guy.... like i want him to lose at everything for the rest of his life... everything
Looks like Lebron just gained some more haters, by making that unbelivable shot, to win game 2.
This was one of the best shots, in play-offs history.. period
If the Cavs win this series, that shot will probably rank like top 20 or probably top 10 game winning shots. Based on what it meant... Cavs going to the finals.. and if they win the finals.. that shot becomes top 5.
I bet even Micheal Jordan was like, "Damn, kid. Nice shot."
That was the shot heard around the world.

Re: LeBron James' buzzer-beating shot over Turkoglu to win Cavs-Magic Game 2
The funny thing is that if Bron hadn't made that 3, he'd have had just 4 points in the 4th qtr. The haters would have been out in FORCE :oldlol:
Also, how do the Magic not pressure the inbounds pass with ONE second left? :confusedshrug:
Great shot by Bron though. I'm a witness

Re: LeBron James' buzzer-beating shot over Turkoglu to win Cavs-Magic Game 2
LeBron is the best player in the league. That shot was incredible.
LOL with 1.0 sec left you were probably crept up in a corner scared like a little chump...he's not the best player in the league. He shot that ball hoping it was going in. Kobe or Melo would of shot that ball believing it will go in.
