2010 Lakers > 2008 Celtics

2008 Lakers didn't have...

1.Great physical play - They played soft the entire series.(One player particularly.. Pau Gasol.)

2. Didn't have Bynum - Haters can say what they want, but they needed Bynum big time.

3. Didn't have Ron Artest - :D

4. They had sorry ass Vladimir Radmanovic and Ronny Turiaf - Radmanvic cost the Lakers a few games, on his stupidity. The guy missed some wide open 3s, mishandled the ball, and caused stupid turnovers. Ronny Turiaf was just Ronny Turiaf..

5. Basically no team chemistry. Kobe Bryant played 1 versus 5 some nights. He didn't trust in his teammates enough, etc. - Look no further than 2009 NBA Finals.. my have things changed. :D He believes in his teammates more and they are answering the call and will only get better, in 2010.

6. No answer for Paul Pierce. - Can anyone say Ron Artest? :D

And more.. but I need to think about it later...

So there you have it.. 2008 Celtics would fall, if they faced the 2010 stacked Lakers. No one in the league will have an answer, for this mighty team, once the season starts.

Let the 3peat... begin. :hammertime:

Even though I like the Ron Artest move, you can't make assumptions like this having not even seen this guy play a game with them yet. For all we know he could have a season ending injury or have the worst season of his career with the Lakers. It's way to early.

Dude the season hasn't started yet! Jeez hold off before you make those types of comparisons.

The Lakers are gonna be a very dangerous team indeed

Hey now! Don't say things like that about my boy Ron Artest. You're right. He could have a serious injury. Hell, anyone one could. Hopefully, no player, in the NBA gets injured, but that is just wishful thinking.

Anyhow, I'm hyping the Lakers. I stand by these words. If I'm wrong, then I'll be surprised as hell. If I was a betting man, I would bet all my chips, on the 2010 Lakers.

I just don't see any team beating this current Laker's squad, in a 7 game series. I just don't see it. I said the same thing about the Nuggets this year. People said the Nuggets would dominate the Lakers, etc. I knew the Nuggets might win one or two games, but not a series.

I agree... if the Lakers had a healthy Bynum and Ron Artest on the team they probably could have taken the Celtics.

Let's wait and see this team on the court first then we can compare them to teams of the past.

Comparing them to teams for next season is valid though because everyone is adding something so it's all comparisons on paper.

I'm just so excited because one of my NBA dreams came true. Ron Artest has been one of my favorite players. Now, I get to watch him and Kobe Bryant play together. OMG! It's just going to be insane. I'm trying to find a way I can get all these games, for next season. I think you need some type of NBA pass. :(

I'll find a cheaper way though. hehe :D :D

Edit: Lol. Yeah that whooping did hurt, but I knew it would make the team stronger. Man if this team loses, in the finals I'm going to be shell shocked. It'll be like having pocket Aces, and losing to another hand, in Texas Hold em.. but sh!t does happen.. so anything can happen.. but usually with pocket Aces.. you win. :D

These threads are very annoying, but not really a surprise since so many of threads created are about the lakers anyways.

And how about we actually wait until we see them on the court before we start exclaiming how they are one of the best teams ever.

Every time Phil wins one ring he has to win three in a row.

Let's hope Kobe has a career ending injury in the first game of the regular season. Then let's revisit this thread.
