Opening Game Thread: Raptors vs. Nets

Not the opening game for the entire league, I know. But the most imporant opening game.

Raptors are running wild over NJ. That is, unless, Chris Bosh doesn't play.

Call this an experiment.

Holdingthebenchdown 10-30-2006 05:52 PM

Nenad goes wild not Bosh.. and Marcus Williams gets some time and does good.

You can also look at it like it's been at least 4368 hours since the last regular season game thread. That's a quick estimate, 6 months = 1.5 year = 182 days = 4368 hours.

Raptors win 148-92

Bosh with 55, 20 and 8 blocks and... let's say only 5 assists and 5 steals just to keep it realistic.

Yep.

Raptors win 240-0, BUT, The Nets hold Garbajosa under 200 points.

I thought we agreed that game threads wouldn't be made unless they were nationally televised. Anyways, I really don't see the the Raptors winning this game, especially in New Jersey and most will agree with me, but hey I've been proven wrong before.

The hell? That the dumbest agreement ever. The nationally televised games usually include the same 4-5 boring ass teams.

I agree. Raptor games will always have enough people to create a good discussion.

I'd rather have game threads then 4 threads about James White and 5 about Jalen Rose.

Targus™ 10-30-2006 07:43 PM

i see no point in having these regular season game threads, especially toronto, who arent even nationally televised in the main forum. i think theres a raps forum too, if ppl want to talk about it, there they go.

kwajo 10-30-2006 07:48 PM

yes but Targus the games involve other teams too, and then the discussion in the Raps forum would blow because it would lack that certain mix of opinions.

I don't see what the big deal is, we've had these going for years and it has worked fine
