Nope, 50 against the Knicks.
Noted
Wasn't trying to be a douche, btw ... didn't just want the exaggerations about him as a player after this 52 point game start to kick in and skew his worth in retrospect.

Suprisingly Melo hasn't had NEAR the amount of 50 points games I would have expected him to have by this point. For his career I mean.

The same goes for Wade.
The same goes for Wade.
True. But Wade never put up the amount of 3 point attempts up until a few years ago as Melo, Bryants, and James of the world. So I didn't expect as many 50 point games out of him. But he had 2 or 3 50 point games last season alone.
in honor of Andre Miller's 52 points tonight, i had to look through the history books to see what other guys in history scored more than 51 points, and have a low to mediocre career ppg like miller's (14.5)
- mahmoud abdul rauf - 51 points. 14.6 ppg
- terry cummings - 52 points. 16.4 ppg. yeah he became a career backup guy after the 91 season, but before that, his first 8 years in the league he was pretty good.
- charles smith - 52 points. 14.4 ppg
- willie burton - 53 points. 10.3 ppg
- tony delk - 53 points. 9.3 ppg
- damon stoudemire - 54 points. 13.4 ppg
one thing to note: the year kobe averaged 35.4 ppg, he posted 6 games with 50+ points, including his 62 and 81 point games within 1 month of each other.

He also had 4 straight 50 point games and 40+ in the game after that..

That was in 2007 ... not in 2006

Why did Portland sign Andre Miller? Are they that down on Rudy and Bayless?
Rudy isn't a PG and the Blazers WERE down on Bayless. He was 3rd string last year and thus he had yet to show much of what we have seen this year. Blazers weren't sure if he'd be ready, traded Sergio, and brought in Andre. Another reason they signed Andre was because they had cap space and were unable to land their targeted free agents (Hedo, Millsap, David Lee). Next summer they would have gone over the cap whether they signed a guy or not due to Roy and Aldridge's extensions, so the Blazers decided to sign the best guy still available in free agency, and that was Andre Miller.

That's how you break it down.
