Hopefully it's just the elbow.. didn't Evan Turner crack some vertebrae the same way?

Brutal. The way his arm just flopped around was nasty.
My goodness, hopefully he'll be fine long term
Ugh, I hate to see that. If I were a Bucks fan I would be devastated. I think they had a real good chance to get to the 2nd round.
 Get well soon Bogut!
Man, poor guy. That's terrible. Hopefully he makes full recovery. Damn.
holy crap, this reminds me of what barkley said, don't try to break your fall with your hands / arms.
holy crap, this reminds me of what barkley said, don't try to break your fall with your hands / arms.
It was either his arm or his head. He used his arm to prevent getting a concussion.
I haven't seen it and don't want to. This really sucks for him, the Bucks and their fans. Hopefully he can make a full recovery.
Godamnit! I was rooting for the bucks to win in the east. I really think they have it in them to make upsets but now its all over. Hope bogut can return next season if not return at all. But heck surgeons nowadays are awesome, so im positive.
A Milwaukee-area reporter suggested that he actually didn't break anything.
But we'll see

:lol if that is true than Bogut is freakin' Jesus. He had to have at least some ligament/tendon damage though. Something got messed up.

Could be a dislocated elbow, for sure.
Def looks like some ulnar-humerous separation.

Many times, you'll get a break in the bottom half of the "claw" part of the ulna which can require surgery... if not, it can be "popped" back in, like a shoulder... recovery is typically 4-6 weeks.
Here's to hoping, for Bogut's sake.
damn that was like the shaun livingston injury, but his arm
I think we can safely say that he's out for the rest of the season, and the playoffs. ****ing sucks.
Just hope he's able to make a full recovery, and return next year stronger than ever.
holy crap, this reminds me of what barkley said, don't try to break your fall with your hands / arms.
I always tell people this, but it's unrelated to Bogut's fall. Bogut's fall was catastrophic. The reason you shouldn't break your fall with your hands/arms is because even really, really simple falls can break your arm near the wrist very easily. There are a number of injuries caused by what is called FOOSH -- fall onto outstretch hand -- ranging from broken bones to dislocated fingers and damage to thumb ligaments.
I broke my arm playing baseball. I was trying to do a kind of spin move around the 3rd baseman, just as sort of a joke since I was totally out, but lost balance when he tagged me. I went down real slow, controlled, and casual, almost like nothing happened, but put my arm down first and it broke. Falling onto your hands causes random freak accidents sometimes.
That's why last year when Delonte West broke his wrist, I knew immediately, because I saw him try to catch himself with it. If a simple slow fall can break it, a huge fall with all your weight will almost always break it or cause some other injury.
Was dunking the ball, got shoved from behind and took a terrible fall. Appears to be a ton of pain, hurt his arm.
GIF says otherwise.
Yeah, he definitely didn't get pushed. You can see his hands just slipped from the rim and his momentum carried his legs forward.
Such a sad thing to see, the Bucks have been outstanding since the ASB and now their season is virtually over before they even got a crack at seeing the Playoffs.
GIF says otherwise.
They called a flagrant foul on Amare and the commentators kept saying he got pushed. I typed that before I got to see the replay 500 times.
The Bucks are looking to win the game anyway.

No excuse. You don't believe some fucking commentator, they're dumb-asses half the time and don't know what they hell they're seeing.
I just can't understand how players injure themselves off their own dunk.
I just can't understand how players injure themselves off their own dunk.
They lose their grip off the rim and flip. Very easy if you're a 260 pounder going full speed.
Now everybody wants to face the Bucks in the playoffs.
I just can't understand how players injure themselves off their own dunk.
I broke 1 arm and sprained the other doing this exact same thing. Combination of sweaty hands and running fast for me.

looks like he dislocated his elbow, man that looks painful, don't know where the Bucks go from here, they're screwed
He pushed him. But it's not like it was dirty. He just pushed him in the back at the wrong moment.
But still, that's why you should never push people in the back on breaks. If someone is running full speed a small push can really floor them. I learned this as a child playing tag... mahaha.

Did you watch the replay? If a hand on the back is the same as a push then I'm f*cking retarded.
Wrong place wrong time for Bogut. I feel bad for him, guy was playing well.

Sorry to hear that, bro, but do you think he was lovingly caressing his back as he dunked? Notice his arm went forward, too? Maybe he was trying to keep his hand on Bogut's beautiful back as long as he could.

I don't know next time I go to a game here I'll ask him for you.

 that was more of a tap on the back then a "push"
it hurts like hell...i broke my left humerus bone(same bone) twice....shit my left hand could do a whole circle at that time....
The first time I saw the .gif I was like "meh, his back is going to be sore tomorrow." Then I actually watched the clip and saw what happened to his arm. Horrific.
And Amare hardly even touched him. That shouldn't have even been a foul on him. Bogut thought he was LeBron or something and totally fell on his own. The flagrant will be rescinded.
R.I.P Andrew Bogut
Bucks are gonna get owned by the BULLS on Tuesday.
They have no depth, especially at Center.
GO BULLS!
Looked at it a few times , besides the news coverage.
I think it was a dislocation , and not a break.
But the concern would be ligaments etc ...
And even if it was not a break , he is out for the season.
-------------
This was his right arm , and it's his shooting hand ..
This could be issues next year.
Ligaments once injuried , strain on muscles and function change.
His rehab will require weight training to strengthen muscle to allow the ligamnets and flexibility to be normal.
** He might of been better off breaking a wrist then this injury.
I hope for the best , because he was the leader of our team , and he was having his best season of his career.
------------Amare's push was not an impact to this , but I played some football and jumped in the air one time , catching a pass ,guy came from behind and it was a light touch , next thing I knew I flipped in mid-air.
Sometimes it doesn't take much , and I am sure Amare in no way was trying to do something dirty.
Maybe Amare will feel so bad , he'll drop his contract , and this summer join the Bucks :D
Bogut was finally on track too. Things suck for Bogut.
Ugh, I hate to see that. If I were a Bucks fan I would be devastated. I think they had a real good chance to get to the 2nd round.
 Get well soon Bogut!
They never had a "real good chance" to get to the 2nd round. Orlando or Atlanta would have dominated them.
Looked waaaaaay worse in real time then it did in the slowmo GIF. Pretty much kills any hopes for a first round upset for the Milwaukee Knickerbuckers.
