Ray Rice because he has proven more obviously, but Felix Jones has the talents to possibly overlap Rice this season but as of now Rice.

If Felix can show the ability to carry the ball the like 275-300+ a year he would be the 3rd best RB in the NFL...behind AD and CJ

maybe better...

he averages 8 attempts a game...

I bet this year he might average like 12, since he was announced the starter...but Barber and Choice will still get carries...


Chris Johnson averaged 22 carries a game...that is a TON

Peterson 19...

Felix will never get that many carries...the coaches will never allow it...

Very tough call personally, ill take Felix Jones tho because I think he will be surrounded by better talent over his career which will undoubtedly help him out.

Hardly a tough call. Ray Rice can be your featured RB and be fed the pigskin if not force fed. He produces. Felix? That remains unproven and really his durability may be a concern to why he doesnt handle more of a load rushing the pigskin. You can attempt to use Marion Barber as an excuse. But that would just expose the stupidity in Dallas and you dont wanna do that. Do ya?

Jones wasn't even the #1 ball carrier with the Hogs. We understand why- he was playing with McFadden. At some point, though, Jones is going to have to be a starter for a full season and produce good numbers before I can rank him as better than Ray Rice.

Great way of putting it. Both RBs are very talented and explosive.

Ray Rice has already proven that he can get it done. He's even gone way past expectations.

Felix Jones has had a couple of splash games. But he hasn't been consistent and his durability is an issue.

If Jones gets the majority of the workload and is able to produce the way most Cowboys fans expect him to, then we can have this debate. But until then......its Ray Rice all the way.

Marion Barber is an "excuse"?

Felix averaged 8 attempts a game...

call it coaching, call it Barber, call it what you want...but just he doesn't get the ball that much...

I'm sure his lack of durability has been a factor in his amount of touches also.

Why do people seem to think it's completely and totally Felix's fault that he hasn't proven himself yet like Rice? He's spent his short career as mostly the 2nd or 3rd option at RB and being the kick returner. Ray Rice is a very gifted and talented running back, but IMO, if Felix can stay healthy had has a season where he gets 15-17 carries per game he'll prove to be better.

If you asked who puts more fear in an opponent when he's standing in the backfield, it's Felix. If you're asking who I'd want starting on my team, it's most definitely Ray.

Ray Rice. I really like this guy, great receiving back as well as a running back.

How is he overrating him? It's not an opinion that Felix hasn't got a ton of carries so far during his career. It's a fact. That's bound to happen when you have to share carries with two other RB's and have some trouble staying healthy. I think Felix has shown plenty of flashes of potential greatness. It's just a matter of staying healthy and get the carries a #1 RB normally gets.
