What does someone working at a decent restaurant (say Olive Garden) as a waiter actually make?
I'm curious (like what sort of hours/pay can one expect to make in a week)?
Same here. Asians, and I mean the Asians who came from Asia, don't tip. American born Asians can go one or the other depending on how their parents raised them. My family and I always tip very well. Even with sh1tty service we still tip like 15%.
My mom (she's from Honduras) will literally sit there, eat her food and try to find faults with the waitress so she can justify to herself that she/he doesn't deserve a tip. It literally ruins my entire mood, and I get very irritated with her.
I ALWAYS tip whenever I take my parents out to eat, they never. My mom will tip like 3 bucks on a $80 dollar meal and I literally will have to sneak the extra tip behind her back. Otherwise, she'll get mad and call me "crazy". :facepalm
this thread makes me cringe so hard every damn time it's bumped.
Why was this bumped? Slow day, OP?
What is it with this forum and arguing about tipping. Just tip you f*cking penny-pinchers or go eat fastfood when you are out instead. Tipping gives you a chance to give your input on service, otherwise the tip would be added to the bill and you would have to pay the few bucks extra whether you got shit service or not
